I’m a huge fan of this podcast. First, David is authentic. He is sharing valuable insight and practical tips based on his own experience. It’s not pretentious or esoteric—just one person sharing information with you as if you were sitting together and chatting over a beer or coffee. The other thing I love is that these are relatively short and digestible. Many podcasts are an hour or more. That has its place and it works for some podcast topics and formats, but I don’t generally need 90 minutes on hiking or camping techniques. David just gives you his opinion and tells you what you need to know in 10-15 minutes most of the time. David spends his time running, hiking, camping, rock climbing, and driving off-road trails in his 4Runner, and shares his thoughts and what he learns. If you are an outdoor enthusiast, you owe it to yourself to listen to this podcast and benefit from the tips and opinions David shares.
