In 2019, she won a Making History award from the Mayor of London for her exhibition, Plaits, Princesses, and Pink Moisturiser - an exploration of Black Hair Stories. Korantema is deeply passionate about cultural heritage, and in today’s episode we talked about her research in West African dance, her experience as a solo jazz dancer today, and her research into Black hair history.
