Syntax

I’m five eps in and so excited to have found a good new spec fiction podcast, esp one with multiple seasons so that I can binge. But for the love of audio production, *please* tone down the Alex character’s overly loud, obnoxiously high-pitched voice. Perkiness and enthusiasm are great, esp since the other characters don’t present that way and a range of personalities is important, but she literally gives me a head and ear ache. The fact that the character also does a lot of childlike whining doesn’t help. I know it’s too late to actually do anything about this, but it just ain’t right to put listeners through such a shrill auditory assault.

I’m so picky about fiction podcasts and this one is up there on my list of favorites. Thanks so much to the creators for making this ❤️

Cohesive plot, long running, solid length on episodes, well acted. Enjoying the mystery and exploration. Only complaint is that the sign off is nearly beat for beat identical to the TMA sign off but subbing in their name, like slow cello draw and all, it’s weird. But other than that it’s solid

I want to punch Lizzie in the face. Her rollercoaster of emotions is infuriating.
