Tabled Fables 6 The Armless Maiden

In this episode we talk about a lesser known tale, The Armless Maiden. How does she get her arms chopped off you ask? Maybe her dad does it to save himself from the devil or maybe it's punishment after she's accused of breaking a milk jug. Admittedly the punishment doesn't fit the crime. And don't worry, the maiden gets her arms back in the end. To find out how, have a listen to the show.

Kseniya Yarosh ,

So glad to have found this

I stumbled onto this podcast without knowing much about fairy tales (aside from the Disney standards and maybe a feminist essay here and there from college) and I must say TabledFables drew me in and I was excited to learn more.

The podcast is a good mix of researched materials, interviews (by professors but also people of the street recalling the version of these stories from their childhood), and personal interpretations.

I appreciate that there are some feminist leanings but the discussion is never lacking in humor. Every episode sounds professional but is never dry.

Looking forward to hearing more!
