Excellent Improvised Stories
Each episode is well done and keeps you coming back for more. The stories do have a Lovecraft feel to them, staying true to the Mythos. The Library is my favorite episode of the series.
Improvised HP Lovecraft? How Delightfully Austin!
When I first heard of Austin, TX's Black Vault improv troupe, I remember thinking how wonderfully eclectic their entire premise was. I wasn’t terribly familiar with Lovecraft’s work, but knew enough to use “Lovecraftian” correctly - or so I thought. No matter what kind of horror or suspense stories you enjoy, there are echoes and allusions to the style of H.P. Lovecraft. Black Vault brings together improvised dialogue with sound and score to take you to a place that is chilling and darkly humorous and unpredictable and not too far from our own world. The Vault is waiting for you…
Creepy and sinister!
