    This week Talk HTM sat down with professor Thomas Sasso to discuss diversity and inclusion in the hospitality and tourism industry. He shares ways we can become better visions of ourselves by unlearning and learning habits within diversity and inclusion. They talk about how growth in terms of diversity and inclusion in the industries have been significant but there is so much more for our future leaders to work on.     This week Talk HTM sat down with Madison (Food service), Alessa (Lodging), and Oscar (Tourism), to talk about our majors area of emphasis. Each guest shared their own personal experience with choosing their area of emphasis, along with advice for picking your area of emphasis, and what they are planning to do after graduation. Each guest shows how whichever path you choose, your future is never set in stone, and that there is No Wrong Choices.

    It's Now or Never

    This week Talk HTM sat down with Tanya, a 5th year hospitality and tourism management student to talk about the sustainability during her travel journey. Over the past year she has purchased and built out a cargo van to be more minimalistic. Listen as she talks about putting her dream into action. Her "it's now or never" approach to life really helped her in difficult times. She sets the example of how you can be positive and take on adventures even during a pandemic.     Say Yes

    This week Talk HTM is chatting with Alec and Erica, two second-year students who were some of HTMSA's first-year representatives last year. They are going to share their experience of being a part of the association in a virtual setting and how saying yes changed their university experience. Alec and Erica share some of their best advice to new university students and provide the inside scoop on how getting involved and pushing past your comfort zones will only help make you stronger.

    Take the Leap

    This week Talk HTM sat down with Shruti and Bree, HTMSA's current President and outgoing Vice President. They delve into what HTMSA is all about and share a little bit about how they got connected with the council. Shruti and Bree go over the many benefits they have encountered since joining HTMSA and the exciting events and initiatives that are coming up! They are also going to talk about taking the leap and how personal and professional development can happen simultaneously through HTMSA. They walk you through their journey with the association and share tips and sweet advice to make your university experience better. They reveal the importance of taking a leap and why at the end of the day, there are no mistakes only growing.
