    Sabres Storm Back Over Boston In Game One (LIVE Reaction)

    On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by Buffalo podcaster and blogger Chris Ostrander just minutes after the Buffalo Sabres stormed back to beat the Boston Bruins, 4-3 to take game one of the Eastern Conference quarterfinal playoffs. The Sabres looked like toast after falling down 2-0 in the third period and lacked energy, which trickled some into the crowd. But Tage Thompson literally changed that with two goals to tie it before Mattias Samuelsson netted the go ahead goal and Alex Tuch gave them insurance (they'd need) with an empty net goal in a nice play by Thompson. The guys talk about the good, bad and ugly of the game which of course there was plenty of all it. What matters most is the Sabres take game one of the series. Plenty to talk about!     Full Buffalo Bills Mock Draft (Version 2)

    On this bonus Saturday edition of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran conducts his second Buffalo Bills full seven round mock draft and comes up with several interesting dilemmas along the way. Going into the mock Patrick reveals that his goal is to trade down from Buffalo's 26th overall pick, with the goal of picking up a day two pick without moving too far out range to get one of a handful of players he's hoping to land. However, it takes two to tango and when he's on the block for Buffalo at 26 there's no good offers from other teams. So Patrick is forced to stand pat at 26 and weights a difficult decision between Ohio State defensive tackle Kayden McDonald and a small handful of high potential edge rushers. Ultimately Patrick goes with McDonald and explains why, hoping to land an edge in the third round at pick No. 91 but all his guys are gone again there, forcing him to pivot off what he originally said. He does get what he considers a gift in the fourth round in a talented linebacker and takes an intriguing offensive tackle with one of his fifth round picks. After a corner later in the fifth and safety in the sixth, Patrick ends his mock for a second straight time by selecting a-----kicker.  Before leaving Patrick shares his honest assessment of his mock and why he likes this one better than his first. One of the most accomplished and respected sports writers in the business, Dunne often writes polarizing stories and none so more than when it comes to the Bills. Whether fans loved or hated it, everyone talked about Dunne's three-part series on Sean McDermott a handful of years ago. Dunne sat down recently with Brady for two hours and from it came a lot of interesting stories----several of which Tyler discusses on this podcast.     Seven Edge Rush Prospects Bills Could Draft In The First Round

    On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran goes over seven edge rushing prospects who potentially could be the Buffalo Bills first-round pick when the NFL draft commences a week from today. Other positions are certainly in play for the Bills with their first overall pick in this draft including linebacker, defensive tackle and wide receiver, but Patrick has landed on it being most likely their going to take an edge rusher early. That sent him into studying mode to learn more about the pool of top prospects and he learned plenty about the seven most likely candidates for the Bills to pull the trigger on---on the premise that David Bailey, Rueben Bain Jr and Arvell Reese are all long gone well before the Bills would be on the clock. Patrick goes over what he's read and seen both good and bad about these prospects, including Keldric Faulk, TJ Walker, Akheem Mesidor, Cashius Howell, Malachi Lawrence, Zion Young and R Mason Thomas. Who are the few that Patrick prefers the most?     Bills Depth Chart Biggest Question Marks

    On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by Matt Warren from SB Nation to discuss where some of the biggest question marks on the Buffalo Bills depth chart currently are as well as potential solutions. At least in the eyes of Patrick, Bills general manager Brandon Beane has done enough with the additions of DJ Moore, Bradley Chubb and CJ Gardner Johnson among others that there isn't one specific glaring need for them at the top of the draft--which to some extent may allow the team to simply take the best player available regardless of (some) positions.  However, when you take a deeper look at the roster, there's certainly areas that are lacking much if any kind of real depth behind the expected starters. The guys discuss some of these positions, including linebacker, defensive edge, boundary cornerback and offensive tackle. They also go over why it would be very surprising to see the Bills address certain positions in the draft anytime before the mid-to-late rounds, those positions including running back, tight end, interior offensive line and safety.     Where Is The Bills Draft Buzz?

    On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by Joe From Queens to discuss some of the reasons for what appears to be a lack of Buffalo Bills buzz less than two weeks before the NFL draft, including of course the Sabres ending their historically long playoff drought. Usually when the draft is this close there seems to be a bigger buzz with the Bills than what we've seen so far. In fact, at least to Patrick it's felt like a pretty low key offseason for the Bills despite making a handful of extremely notable additions like DJ Moore, Bradley Chubb and CJ Gardner Johnson.  The guys discuss why it kind of feels that way, perhaps in part because this draft prospect pool in itself in the later first round doesn't feel as buzzworthy as it usually does. Of course, the Sabres have completely won the attention if not hearts of most Buffalo sports fans over the past few months and that definitely plays a role in it as well.  Buffalo's down to their final two games and controls their destiny to win the Atlantic division going into the playoffs, which speaking of Joe shares some of his favorite Sabres playoff memories.     Buffalo Bills 2026 Full Mock Draft (Version 1.0)

    On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran (finally) gets around to conducting his first Buffalo Bills 2026 full mock draft just two weeks before the actual NFL draft takes place. Trades were on the table but none were consummated. As with the past several years, Patrick enjoys doing these mock drafts but not for the prediction accurate aspect.  Doing them often enough allows you to learn about more prospects, develop trends and strategies that play out in real time and speaking of----things happen one selection before Patrick's on the clock for the Bills that throws things off for him and leaves him scrambling for a backup plan. Patrick admits to also having a plan with the Bills No. 91 selection that goes astray when a pair of defensive lineman go off the board before he's on the clock, at least one of them unexpected.
