    Buffalo Bills Camp: "Everyone Eats"

    Buffalo Bills Camp: "Everyone Eats"

On this episode of Talking Buffalo, day two of training camp for the Buffalo Bills is in the books and Patrick Moran has several observations to hit on not just during practice, but interesting comments from offensive coordinator Joe Brady said before practice begun on Thursday.
The Bills don't really have a "No. 1" receiver on this roster as things stand. That's not secret and if it wasn't already apparent, that's much to Brady's liking. During a Q&A with the media before practice Brady talked about pass catchers, including refusing to even identify certain positions on the wide receiver tree and referred to the group as saying "we don't have positions, we do everything conceptually." Perhaps even more telling was Brady's quote that could become a mantra for this Bills offense in 2024 ---everybody eats."
Patrick also talks about Curtis Samuel having a big day on the practice field as he showed off his versatility, some interesting rotation notes among the offensive line, Mike Edwards in at starter at free safety, Cam Lewis getting dinged up and plenty more.

Bills Camp Day One Observations & Fun Facts

Bills Camp Day One Observations & Fun Facts

On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by PK from the Buffalo Sports Collective to discuss some observations from day one of Buffalo Bills training camp in addition to some fun facts and numbers about this year's team.
After what felt like an offseason that'd never end, camp began on Wednesday in Rochester and immediately there were some fun storylines for the guys to dig into on today's show. Among them are Matt Milano returning as a full participant for the first time this entire offseason, Damar Hamlin instead of Mike Edwards getting the initial start at free safety, Keon Coleman seeing plenty of time with the first-team offense, Von Miller looking pretty sharp and a really good camp debut for second-year tight end Dalton Kincaid.
They also talk about some numbers and "fun facts" about the Bills going into this season, including a stat that blew Patrick's mind----the Bills have tied a NFL record for the most consecutive regular season games (40) without a loss of more than six points. That plus the Bills are actually a much younger team than you may think, three guys share the distinction of being the longest-tenured Bills, the Buffalo Sabres make a significant contract signing and more.

All Buffalo Bills Edition Of The Podbag

All Buffalo Bills Edition Of The Podbag

It’s another edition of The Podbag today on Talking Buffalo, the weekly episode where the audience controls the narrative as Patrick Moran responds to several questions and takes from consumers of this show and this is a heavily Buffalo Billscentric edition now that the team is in training camp and the offseason is officially over.
The takes and questions are plentiful today, including Patrick being asked what player not named Josh Allen is he most excited about watching this season, pressure on Brandon Beane to get this draft class right after some recent missteps, Joe Brady having a lot to prove as offensive coordinator and some thoughts on rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman.
A guy that now only has the potential to be a breakout player for the Bills but someone the team needs to be one is discussed, as is Kaiir Elam, Dawson Knox and a league-wide love for the Houston Texans.
That plus some final thoughts from last week's Mafia Con, a look into a big live show coming to Talking Buffalo next week and plenty more. If you want to have your question or comment featured on next week's podcast, leave on Twitter, the Talking Buffalo YouTube channel or via email to talkingbuffalopodcastd@gmail.com

Officially Official Bills Training Camp Preview

Officially Official Bills Training Camp Preview

On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by frenemy and recurring guest Joe From Queens for a full Buffalo Bills training camp preview as the team gets set to officially open training camp tomorrow.
The "offseason" is finally over as Buffalo gets into things at camp and the guys go through the team positionally to take a thorough look at the roster, discussing both scenarios and raising several potential questions. Among those discussed is if we can expect to see a more vocal Josh Allen going forward, if Ray Davis has as legitimate chance to leapfrog Ty Johnson on the running back depth chart quickly, how the back end of the receiver depth chart may play out and if Dawson Knox can have a bounce back season.
That's just the offense. Defensively the guys discuss if Von Miller will look like the Von of two seasons ago, Matt Milano's health being critical, Kaiir Elam having one last chance to avoid the "bust" label and a key battle shaping up between Taylor Rapp and Cole Bishop.
They also talk about last weekend's Mafia Con, Josh Allen's place and perception among today's NFL quarterbacks as well as all-time and much more. Follow Joe on Twitter @BuffaloWins.

Tim Graham Interview Live From Mafia Con

Tim Graham Interview Live From Mafia Con

On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by sports journalist Tim Graham for an extremely entertaining and informative conversation taped live recently from the first-ever Mafia Con event.
Del Reid and the gang at 26 S***s orchestrated the inaugural Mafia Con event over the weekend to benefit the WNY Hero's Inc. and The PUNT Foundation. Not only was the event a huge success, but it was literally sold out. Hundreds of Buffalo Bills fans lined up to meet and get autographs from the likes of Keonn Coleman, Cole Bishop, Dewayne Carter, Terrel Bernard and Dorian Williams in addition to several other things going on.
One of the them were a string of podcasts being recorded there, including this one. The guys talked about several things during their conversation, including Tim Graham's upcoming deep dive on Bills budding star linebacker Terrel Bernard, the extent that Stefon Diggs may or may not be missed, who should be assuming leadership roles with so many former Bills captains and leaders now gone, and Tim's take on Sean McDermott.
Tim also talks about how he got famous TV talk show host Maury Povich to do his Tim Graham and Friends podcast recently as well as his thought process in putting together feature stories, writing for 14 consecutive hours and much more. Make sure to follow Tim on Twitter @ByTimGraham and check out his absolutely elite work at The Athletic.

Who Will Be The 2024 Terrel Bernard?

Who Will Be The 2024 Terrel Bernard?

On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran goes over a bunch of Buffalo Bills candidates that could potentially be the next Terrel Bernard, a guy not talked about much and/or isn't expected to do a lot that could blossom into an important part of the 2024 Bills team.
Around this time last year Bernard was mostly a Bills afterthought after the team let Tremaine Edmunds walk earlier in free agency. While Bernard was set to take on Tyrel Dodson for a starting job, it was probably thought by most the team would ultimately look outside to find it's starting middle linebacker. Bernard would win the job and within just a few games it became apparent that he's not only a good player, but a difference maker in the Buffalo defense. Bernard went on to have an outstanding first year as a Buffalo starter and has himself positioned as a critical part of the team going forward.
Who may be this year's version of Bernard based on the criteria of contributing way more than most expect? Patrick goes over several candidates that he's been thinking about as well as many fans, a list that includes Mike Edwards, MVS, Taylor Rapp, Kaiir Elam and fight-round rookie Javon Solomon.
There's also some players that could easily be on the list that Patrick thinks already have enough pedigree that being a solid contributor or more is expected, with those names including AJ Epenesa, Khalil Shakir and Curtis Samuel. That and plenty more today.

Excellent Podcast

This has become my number one Bills podcast. There are other Buffalo topics covered here and there which are done very well, but it’s primarily a Bills podcast. Patrick Moran is authentic and has thoughtful insights. He isn’t afraid to have against the grain opinions but also does not contrive ‘controversial’ topics/ideas. His interviews are great, and he transitions from that platform to conversations with others really well. Other podcast hosts are one speed, but Pat is a pro at weaving in multiple forms of delivering content. Love this podcast.

Grow up

Lose the hat. Act your age, stop rating dumb has-been-long-gone things like jodeci and donnie hathaway songs…and ive seen jodeci live! no one cares and what does this have to do w buffalo anyway? Its really a lack of god in your life. You look to long lost things of yesterday to rate a top five over but they are meaningless. The bills are here and real but still not as important as God. Wake up bro. Do bills, do sabers, do wings. But the next time you take up half a show blowing the guest because hes a black or female reporter…thats it! I dont want to hear their crappy story. I dont care where theyre from or how they made it. There's an old adage in journalism…when the media makes the story about the media…they have no story! Grow up, find God, lose weight, and fix the pod. Other than that, love the show! Haha. Joe from Q rules!
