ARCHIE-THE MAN WHO BECAME CARY GRANT-(2023)- with Professor Mark Glancy

You are invited back into the Talking Hitchcock screening room! Join creator and host, Hitchcock enthusiast, Rebecca McCallum with special guest author, researcher
and Professor of Film History-Mark Glancy who has written at length about Hitchcock and specialised in researching and writing about the life and work of
Cary Grant. In this feature length episode, we take time to discuss our thoughts and responses to the ITV drama series Archie (2023). However, given Mark’s expertise, this also leads (inevitably) to a broader discussion of Cary Grant’s life and career. Mark was a wonderfully knowledgeable and engaging guest and offered so much texture and insightful analysis to our discussion.

Robert Prudhomme ,

A fabulous podcast

I admittedly know very little about Alfred Hitchcock but Rebecca does a amazing job of explaining just how revolutionary and important his films are. Rebecca’s research is simply incredible and I look forward to learning more about his filmography. I could not recommend Talking Hitchcock high enough.

Mo Moshaty ,

Perfect for Hitchcock fans!

Such a great podcast for anyone new to Alfred Hitchcock’s or those who’ve been fans for ages. I love how embracing it is to newcomers whilst making big fans want to know more hidden treasures. Looking forward to more of this excellent time spent!
