I’ve only been listener for a couple years so this only the second time listening to Isaac and his wife, Phoebe’s (sp) podcast. I like how incredibly real and genuine it is and a nice break from the news cycle. Side note: It’s not always the woman who just needs to be heard when venting and not have the partner offer solutions. I’m that person in my relationship with my wife. That might be why I enjoy this episode the past couple years so much. It mirrors a lot of my relationship but with the roles reversed. Happy Valentine’s Day and I hope you guys enjoy your night off.

I heard about this news team on This American Life last year and it has been a breath of fresh air. As someone who was raised conservative (and has many family members who are conservative), then developed more left-leaning views into adulthood, I appreciate the integration of both left and right views, and the mix of short and long-form episodes on the podcast. The political climate is currently so volatile and it’s been helpful to look at stories from both sides that are largely cast in a light of logical review. It’s also been nice to tune into a show that covers a wide array of political ongoings opposed to just the most emotionally laden stories that typically dominate other news outlets. I appreciate that the team offers counter arguments to one another’s takes to demonstrate the many ways that each story may be perceived. Overall, really enjoying it!

Audrey Moorhead’s article on how the left is significantly responsible for the rise of Trump is brilliant. She used detailed examples, and while she didn’t excuse, for instance, President Trump’s shocking tactics on illegal immigrants, she explained why so many voters tolerate his excesses. Tangle is earning its objective of being a source of commentary thst readers trust to be fair. Ms. Moorhead’s article furthers that reputation.

You can save yourself the time and go sit down at a table adjacent to a bunch of bros at a brewery. The podcast consists mostly of conservatives who think they are centrist or unbias because they don't believe all the news on newsmax and fact check either with their own feelings or their bro. the only female voice you will hear is at the beginning announcing the pod. Also no voices from the impacted marginalized communities are heard in the coverage. staff dissent consists of a staffer, a white male, who says I agree with Isaac several times while never actually disagreeing. If you actually want to be centrist or neutral bring in voices from the left, middle, and right, while hearing from marginalized communities, not just white , middle class straight men.
