S4: E1 - Tapping into Shame with Natalie Lee
Welcome to Season 4 Episode 1!
In this week's episode, I chat with Natalie Lee, a content creator, author, podcast host and public speaker on a liberating road of disruption to challenge and help you shed your shame.
Following childhood trauma, Natalie was conditioned to view her body, sex and herself in a certain way which led to her not feeling complete and shameful. Natalie talks to us today about her powerful journey to pleasure and self-acceptance as we discuss the book she has written, Feeling Myself. I make no secret about how much I love this book and how I think it's a must-read for all women. Natalie shares with us about subjects that we possibly do not normally talk about with our friends and loved ones. We talk about the importance of questioning our own views around sex and how we can break any negative cycles we hold as well as how we can have important conversations about sexuality and sex within our households. This is a conversation that I know is going to have an impact.
Key takeaways:
Therapy can be hugely powerful in your healing journey
It was important to consider how her experience had conditioned her and how she could start to make better choices
Sex can be pleasurable
She introduces us to ethical porn from a female gaze by creator Erika Lust
Women don’t connect with masturbation because they are told it's shameful and dirty
How masturbation can be free and pleasurable and teach us so much about our own bodies
Women have been conditioned to act as foot soldiers of misogynists and we need to be aware and break free from this
People often assume that the default sexuality is heterosexuality
How can we have conversations about sex and sexuality in our household to raise awareness within our family
About Natalie:
Natalie Lee began started her blog, Style Me Sunday, in July 2012. It began as a fashion blog but soon evolved as she changed and started to open up about other things like body confidence, mental health and her healing process. For a decade she has grown her platform from a blog to a brand, and now reaches women across various different mediums. Her book ‘Feeling Myself’ is available to buy now.

S4: E2 - Tapping into Birth, Sex + Death with Emma Cannon
In this week’s episode, I chat with Emma Cannon, a fertility and women’s health expert. Emma supports couples on their path to parenthood and bridges the gap between western medicine and complementary therapies.
In this conversation with Emma, we weave many themes that I know will be so powerful for you to hear. She takes us on her own journey of sitting with Ram Dass in the 90’s and how this opened up the path that she is still on today. We discuss the impact of childhood sexual trauma and how this was not fully healed until many years later during a powerful experience that I can’t wait for you to hear about. Emma is so generous with her knowledge about not only fertility and the cycle of life but also in giving us hope around the shadow and light in life and how working with both can lead to deep healing.
Key takeaways:
We hear Emma’s thoughts on the journey of life including pre-birth, birth, sex and death
Learning to find her gift was something she was taught at a young age by her Father
Comparing yourself to others isn’t helpful at all, you can only be yourself
There are links between our beliefs, trauma and fertility
We have to find a way to create safety within ourselves
Healing ancestral trauma and shame is vital for us to move forward
As women, we are deeply impacted by patriarchal views
I hope you enjoy this conversation and take away so much from it. I could have kept talking to Emma for hours!

S4: E4 Tapping into Burnout with Flic Taylor
In this week’s episode, I chat with Flic Taylor who is a freelance writer talking about mental health, wellbeing, and burnout. She aims to educate people about burnout through her blog relating to her experience and her recovery.
Flic’s experience is so powerful as she shares with us how as a mental health writer she completely missed the signs of her own burnout until being shocked into realising the depth of her burnout by a health practitioner. We discuss how burnout has become common in key worker roles over the past two roles and the concept of burnout becoming more understood due to its prevalence. We also consider how the pervasive nature of burnout can creep up on us when we do not expect it. We cover issues such as the impact of the lack of sleep, poor boundaries and numbing ourselves rather than nourishing ourselves. Flic shares with us the key signs of burnout so be sure to listen to the whole episode to see if you are also experiencing burnout.
Key takeaways:
It is possible to burn out doing something that you love and adore
Burnout can creep up on you and you miss the signs
There is a difference between stress and burnout
Being in service does not need to equal sacrifice
It is necessary to nourish yourself instead of numbing yourself
I hope you enjoy this conversation and take away so much from it.

S4: E5 - Tapping into Flower Essences with Saskia Marjoram
In this week’s episode, I chat with Saskia Marjoram who is the creator of Saskia’s Flower Essences.
Through her flower essences, Saskia helps people to shift a range of emotional states and behaviours. I am so excited to share the conversation with you as I have been using Saskia’s flower essences both myself and with my boys for a while now.
Saskia has been working with flower essences for over 15 years after her and friend decided to develop their own flower essence range. They had been using flower essences from an Australian brand but with Saskia’s history with flowers she realised that she wanted to know exactly what the flowers were rather than an ingredient that wasn’t common in the UK. This was how her new product was born.
You can hear us talk about the history of flower essences starting with indigenous uses through to Dr Bach packaging flower essences in the 1930’s. We discuss the energetic frequencies of flowers and their properties and how you can know if they are working for you. We also talk about the benefits for both children and adults. Saskia also shares with us how to dowse which can be so helpful in choosing which combination of essences you want to use.
Key takeaways:
The essence is the vibration of the plant held in liquid. It can change your internal frequency
With the right flower essence, change can happen really quickly, especially with children
Flower essences do not need to be used on their own, they work really well alongside other modalities
If you are looking to start using flower essences the combination essences are a really good place to begin
Taking flower essences is different to taking medicine, it’s much more like having a relationship with that plant.
Saskia has kindly given listeners of the podcast a 10% discount code so if you type TAPPING at checkout you can benefit from this.
I hope you enjoy this conversation and take away so much from it.
About Saskia: Saskia has been working with flowers at different levels for her whole life. As a professional gardener for more than 30 years, and florist to HRH Prince of Wales for many years she started making flower essences in 2003 with her friend and business partner for a long time after they discovered how incredibly effective and simple they are to make and desperately needed them for themselves and their families. She is continually fascinated by how plants and humans interact and the wisdom they have to share with us. Her deep love, friendship and knowledge of the flowers have continued to grow as she discovers just how powerfully their energy affects and interacts with us.Want to discover more about Saskia?Follow Saskia here www.instagram.com/saskiasessences/ Buy her essences here https://www.saskiasfloweressences.com/ Find her on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100057582012745
