Bonus: Jenn Reviews Thinks She Thought She Remembered

Bonus: Jenn Reviews Thinks She Thought She Remembered

Approximately a thousand years ago, when we were early in the days of this project, I made a doc of things I thought I remembered. It's been updated sporadically, but at 2am the other morning I found myself thinking about it, and decided to do a thing. And here is that thing! Background noises by new co-host Fizz. Patrons will get to see a behind-the-scenes photo of us recording, via Patreon.
NOTE: Here be spoilers! If you're current with the TVOB book episodes, you're good until minute 12:50. After that, proceed at your own risk.
I finish up with some things I think I remember that we either haven't gotten to yet, or that I fully made up. I'll have to do another revisit when we're fully done with the series, I guess!

It's the best section yet, hands down!!! While we (inevitably) have quibbles, we are also over the moon -- especially about this Egwene chapter, y'all.

Jenn and Preeti continue to disagree on which of these recent sections are better, but are in full agreement about competence, Nynaeve (!!!!), and the effectiveness of Jordan's horror and action sequences.

It’s better together

I really like this podcast. I was looking for an alternative to reading the whole series. I’m 3 books in and it’s great having the hosts excitedly sharing their likes & dislikes of the books, chapter by chapter. It’s like hanging out w/friends. I also appreciate the discussions of writing craft. I’m watching the tv show but the talking about writing techniques means I will also be reading at least the 1st book. Try it out!

A great companion

I’ve been listening in for a while, and on my third re-read. Love the books and the TV show! Sometimes I feel like they are being too hard on the author and show writers, but ultimately the appreciation of the lore comes through. And while I disagree with Preeti and Jen 40% of the time, their opinions help me appreciate the characters or story writing and world building more. So thanks! You’ve expanded my understanding and appreciate of folklore. Though I wish you’d hate things less and have more of a gray scale of dislike instead. Please keep going!

Smart and fun!

Like me, these ladies go back and forth between adoring RJ’s work and being repulsed by the constant character assassination and sexism lurking around every wonderfully written moment. Keep it up y’all, this may be a toxic relationship but boy am I addicted to it! Thanks for all your wonderful literary insight and fun commentary.
