"It couldn't just be my father's God" with Jeremy Height (Ep. 137)
Welcome back T&J family! Today we have special guest Jeremy Height filling in for Josh, who is stranded in New York City. Jeremy was schedule to be a guest but quickly got promoted to co-host in Josh's absence. Marty and Jeremy grew up together because, obviously, they're family. Jeremy discusses growing up as a pastor's kid, ministry in urban environments, personal growth, and life in Croatia. This proved to be an easy conversation that went by faster than we realized. Hopefully you have the same experience listening. And check out the link to Jeremy's website below! Enjoy!

The Spiritual Gifts Crap Shoot (Ep. 136)
Welcome back T&J family! This week we immediately jump into some TMI from Marty. So be ready if you are not interested in his intestinal functioning. We then make a hard transition to spiritual gifts and the true humor in some of these tests. We discuss what they are, what ours are, and if some of them ended with the apostles. We promise the episode is more entertaining than this blurb sounds. Enjoy!

Don't Be A Narcissist (Ep. 134)
Welcome back T&J friends! This week we learn that it is the small things in life that make us happy. Whether it is pealing an orange or cutting wrapping paper, we learn how the little things can be very satisfying. We then discuss something less satisfying, blasphemous pastors who manipulate their audiences for personal gain. This leads to a discussion on narcissism and the various ways narcissistic tendencies present themselves. Enjoy!

If You're Evil and You Know it Clap Your Hands (Ep. 133)
Welcome back T&J family! We want to quickly give a shout out the new listeners we have noticed subscribing to the show. We may not know your names yet, but we appreciate you tuning in! As with all listeners, feel free to shoot us a message at large23onsweatwheat@yahoo.com.
This week we dive into a common philosophical debate: are people born good or evil. We have touched on this a couple times in different ways, but try to really focus in on the idea of being born evil. We discuss how genetics and environment influence these factors and debate whether some people are born evil. And in a rare moment of disagreement, neither one of us completely agrees with the other. Enjoy! -
God’s Approach to Guilt, Shame, and Conviction (Ep. 132)
Welcome back T&J listeners! This week we get to hear some exciting news from Marty and his medical journey. Then we dive into a discussion on shame, guilt, and conviction. While trying to define these terms we learn about Josh's thoughts on the cartel and how this connects to cultural beliefs and shame. After figuring out the role of shame and the emotional impact it carries, we discuss how this impacts us a Christians and connects back to the beginning of creation. But ultimately, we look at the life of Jesus and how His life educates us on these topics. We hope you find this thought provoking and challenging as we seek to love others well. Enjoy!

If you like tattoos and people who do, then this podcast Is definitely for you... I give it a 6.3 rating. I had to deduct three tenths of a point because they don’t cover moped safety as much as they should.
