    Breaking Strongholds

In this message, minister Isis Underwood addresses the barriers that prevent believers from functioning in their original design: spiritual strongholds. Based on 2 Corinthians 10:3–5 (NKJV), she defines strongholds not just as external behaviors, but as "arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God." This teaching breaks down how strongholds are constructed in the mind through specific thought patterns and provides the biblical weapons required to dismantle them. Key Takeaways: The Anatomy of a Stronghold: Strongholds begin in the thoughts. The progression is: Thoughts → Decisions → Actions → Values → Lifestyle → Bondage. Spiritual territories are lost when we do not have the strength to hold the space against the enemy’s lies. Roots of Entry: Voluntary: Sin cycles, personal agreement with lies, and rebellious actions. Involuntary: Trauma or victimization. Regardless of the entry point, the enemy uses both to establish influence, and both must be torn down through agreement with God. Common Lies That Build Strongholds: Isis identifies subtle thoughts that exalt themselves against God, such as "Truth is relative," "God exists but doesn't care," "My good outweighs my bad (moral self-justification)," and "I have autonomy without God". Weapons of Destruction: Strongholds are destroyed by: The Weapon of Truth: Replacing lies with specific Scripture. The Weapon of Authority: Using the name of Jesus. The Weapon of Repentance: Defined as metanoia—a radical change of mind, not just emotional sorrow. The Weapon of Humble Obedience: Submission to God is the mechanism of freedom. Authority vs. Power: Every believer has Authority (the right to rule given by position in Christ), but Power (the ability to rule) is accessed when strongholds are removed and obedience is established.

Stewardship: What Will You Do With What God Gave You?

After weeks of unpacking the weight of sin, the deception of idolatry, and the power of Jesus’ blood, this episode shifts our focus to what comes next: stewardship. Salvation is not the finish line—it’s the foundation. God calls us to build on what Christ has accomplished by faithfully managing everything He has entrusted to us: His Word, His Spirit, His mission, His presence, and our everyday lives. In this message, we explore how the Kingdom of God grows in our lives to the degree that we steward what we’ve been given. Many believers stop at conviction but never cross into transformation. Why? Because they never steward the truth they’ve received. Through practical teaching and Scripture, we break down: • What biblical stewardship really means (Psalm 24, Matthew 25, 1 Corinthians 4) • Why stewarding your heart is the key to lasting fruit (Matthew 13) • How abiding in Christ through His Word, prayer, and love empowers your daily walk (John 15) • What it means to obey before the storm hits, and why unseen obedience matters (Matthew 7) • How spiritual responsibility impacts your influence, gifts, and relationships (1 Corinthians 9) • Why stewardship will always require sacrifice—and how God meets you in surrender (Matthew 10) Whether it’s your schoolwork, job, time, gifts, or relationships—this episode will challenge you to stop coasting and start cultivating. Because what you don’t steward, you will eventually lose. But what you faithfully manage in the Lord, He will multiply. “We will give an account—not just for what we heard, but for what we did with what we heard.” This is your invitation to step into maturity and live a life that bears fruit—through every season, every assignment, and every sacrifice.

Who’s Really on the Throne? Exposing Idolatry in Our Hearts

In this episode, we dive into the concept of idolatry — a term often associated with ancient statues and temples, but one that remains just as relevant today. Building from last week’s conversation on sin and the devil’s deception, we’ll explore how idolatry distorts our relationship with God and reshapes our identity. Together, we’ll break down: • What idolatry really means according to the Bible, using Exodus 20:3-5 as our foundation. • Why God calls for exclusive worship and how His jealousy reflects His protective love. • How idols deceive us by promising satisfaction, control, or security — only to lead to emptiness. • The dangers of redefining God in our image instead of reflecting His image as we were created to. • Practical examples of modern-day idolatry that Gen Z and college students often face, from social media obsession to relationship dependence, hustle culture, and self-made spirituality. We’ll also confront how even good things — careers, relationships, and achievements — can become idols when we prioritize them over God. Plus, we’ll end with a reflection activity to help you identify and surrender any “broken cisterns” in your life (Jeremiah 2:13). Reflection Questions to Consider: • What are you most unwilling to give up if God asks you to? • Where do you place your trust and security outside of God? • Are there areas where you justify disobedience in the name of comfort or control? Whether you’re wrestling with subtle idols or seeking to grow in deeper devotion to Christ, this episode will challenge and encourage you to reclaim God’s rightful place in your life.
