Every week Alice Fraser, chronic thinker, comedian, ex lawyer and cambridge graduate drinks tea and solves the world. With a rotating cast of bright and brilliant guests.
Cal Wilson - Age and GardeningCast
Cal Wilson talks to me over a fancy hotel tea about creativity, lockdown gardening and self expression.
Craig Quartermaine - Talent and Successcast
Craig Quartermaine is a friend of the podcast and a friend of mine. We had a lovely chat about work, success, racism and opportunities deserved and undeserved.
Adam Richard - WeightCast
Adam Richard came on the podcast to talk about weight, work, how to dress, giving up comedy and being a nerd.
Visakan V - Enthusiastic Nerdcast
Visa is a thinker who thinks about thinking - I've known him for a while on twitter, and I've always enjoyed watching the process of him organising thoughts in webs and threads. This episode we talked about enthusiastic nerdery, online selfhood and making connections.
Colt Cabana Literal WrestlingCast
Colt Cabana is a lovely human, a deep thinker in disguise. We talked about how covid affected the world of wrestling, the upside of being objectified and how to use your body.
Justin Hamilton CultureCast
Justin Hamilton is a good friend and an excellent interlocutor. We discussed culture, age, artistry and existential angst. A lovely time.
Talking about what matters to us and why
Love the range of guests and Alice’s way of letting people talk about what they’re wrestling with and what brings them joy or pain, or both. It's rare to hear people think out loud with others and this is just that.
The podcasts I listen to tend to be either heavily science, heavily comedy or both (I’m a nearly 50-year old male American to get all that out there). Alice is a wonderful comedian (have you heard her on The Bugle? Go ahead, I’ll wait), but this podcast is more about conversation than humor, though there are plenty of laughs to be had. If you’re looking for a good place to start, may I suggest any of the Tiff Stevenson episodes? They should be mandatory listening! I’ve said enough. Now, go forth and enjoy!
Quiet, thoughtful discussion where nobody gets mad at each other. What bizarre alternate universe is this?
