    The Holy Trinity - Riddle to Explain, or Reality to Experience?

    For many students (and teachers too!) the Trinity can feel like an impossible equation: three persons, one God, somehow all at once. But what if the Trinity was never meant to be solved like a riddle? What if being made in the image of a relational God changes how we understand community, belonging, justice, compassion, and even the words of Jesus: “Love your neighbour as yourself”? In this episode we explore the Trinity not primarily as a mathematical puzzle, but as a mystery of relationship, communion, and love. Drawing on Scripture, the Athanasian Creed, and the Catholic tradition, this conversation opens up the Trinity as a way of understanding God, humanity, and the interconnectedness of all things. We look to give teachers practical ways to talk about Trinity with students beyond formulas and analogies to helping young people in all year levels move from simply learning about God to encountering the divine reality at the heart of existence itself.

    In late 2013 local artist, Dianne Minaar, was approached by Sacred Heart Catholic Parish, Samford, to paint an installation of the Stations of the Cross as part of the Church refurbishment. Little did Dianne know that the next 16 months would be a life changing experience that affected her spiritually, emotionally, and physically. In this episode, you will hear Dianne's amazing story, about the meaning the Stations have for Christians and for the world, and about the providential way the paintings came about. You will also hear about how Formation and Engagement Services partnered with Dianne to create a special way for you to engage with these incredible images and deepen your devotion through the Stations of the Cross in 2026.
