    Please Stop Giving Me Gifts

    Please Stop Giving Me Gifts

Abusive individuals can use gifts as a tool of control and cruelty.  Which makes things difficult for survivors living in a society where gift giving is so expected.

Do I Have to Forgive My Abuser?

Do I Have to Forgive My Abuser?

No.  Not unless YOU want to.  Not unless you are ready. Not unless it will help YOU in your healing goal.

Also... make sure to show the same compassion and forgiveness towards yourself.

AllRise777 ,

5-star education!

I’m a victim advocate and facilitate a support group for traumatized survivors. I’m also a survivor myself. Every day I hear from deeply harmed people who are not believed by the institutions supposed to protect them due to the profound unawareness of the general public about what intimate terrorism looks like and feels like.

The need for awareness on this hidden epidemic is beyond urgent. Children who witness abusive behavior may replicate it when they grow up for one thing. And the world does not need more damaged people right now.

Because the ignorance of well-meaning people can be so deeply hurtful to people trying to get help, for example asking, “but why didn’t you leave sooner?” this podcast is doing a great service both to survivors and those who care and want to help heal their loved one.

Thank you.

A much needed conversation!

This podcast is extremely insightful! Love her approach and way of explaining. As a victim it clarifies what’s happened which then liberates you from some of the trauma.
