    What is Bitcoin?

Bitcoin is a digital currency created in January 2009 following the housing market crash.  It follows the ideas set out in a whitepaper by the mysterious and pseudonymous Satoshi Nakamoto. The identity of the person or persons who created the technology is still a mystery.  Bitcoin offers the promise of lower transaction fees than traditional online payment mechanisms and is operated by a decentralized authority, unlike government-issued currencies. There are no physical bitcoins, only balances kept on a public ledger that everyone has transparent access to, that – along with all Bitcoin transactions – is verified by a massive amount of computing power.    Tune in to hear more.   TechCloud TV is an online Tech Community Platform to connect like-minded individuals, exchange ideas and explore all things Tech.  Please continue to support us by clicking on the SUBSCRIBE button on our channel.   For more content, click on the links below:   F O L L O W - US  ► FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/techcloudtv/ ► TWITTER: https://twitter.com/techcloudtv_ ► INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/techcloudtv ► EMAIL:TechCloudTVofficial@gmail.com    what is bitcoin, bitcoin explained, bitcoin for dummies, bitcoin explained for dummies, bitcoin explained by someone who doesnt get bitcoin, bitcoin explained simply for dummies, what is bitcoin and how does it work, bitcoin for beginners, bitcoin for beginners channel, bitcoin for beginners youtube, bitcoin for dummies youtube, bitcoin explained 2020,bitcoin for beginners 2020,bitcoin for dummies 2020,money,techcloudtv,techchannel,what,vanessa lee,Truong Pham

Enrich your security policies, AMA with Kaia Myers Stewart

Hey everyone, thanks for tuning into another episode of TechCloudTV! For those of you that have been following us, you know that Truong and I have been working on bringing you the latest news in the Australian and International blockchain space. The high level of dependency on technology and the internet today has resulted in new business models and revenue streams for organizations but with this comes new gaps and opportunities for cyber attackers to exploit. Cyber-attacks have become increasingly targeted and complex due to more sophisticated pieces of malware being leveraged and the increasing threat of professional cyber organizations. There are so many exciting projects happening at the moment and interestingly enough in the current COVID-19 pandemic, there has never been a better time to explore the importance of blockchain on a global scale where the need for cybersecurity is more important than ever with the increasing use of technology across remote platforms on multiple devices. Today we are joined by the amazing Kaia Myers-Stewart, who is the co-founder and chief product officer of 5th Dimension Security (5DS), an early-stage cybersecurity company offering a real-time 'authorisation-as-a-service' enterprise blockchain solution. Kaia has worked in a broad range of roles in emerging technology, ranging from product management for the protocol engineering team at Consensys to supporting early-stage tech founders as an entrepreneur in residence in Melbourne’s Western Suburbs. She also co-organises meetups for Women in Blockchain Melbourne (alongside Karen Cohen!) and recently became a member of the National Blockchain Roadmap’s Working Group on Blockchain for Cybersecurity. Book Marks: 3:24 Can you share with us more about 5th Dimension Security and what led you to found this organisation? 5:13 What are the critical checkpoints? 7:08 We saw that 5th Dimension Security developed a real-time internal verification service called SiegeGuard an 'authorisation-as-a-service' enterprise blockchain solution to help organisations validate suspicious, irreversible or otherwise high-stakes actions before network actors can successfully execute them, can you tell us more about SiegeGuard and the value that some of the organisations you work with have gained from using this 9:05 What is blockchain’s role in cybersecurity and how blockchain be used to help protect this information? Are there people working on a solution already? What are the challenges that you have seen? 10:36 What are the challenges that you have seen, on the uptake in using blockchain in cybersecurity 11:51 What are some of the things that people misunderstand most about blockchain (could be as it stands in Cybersecurity or general)?

For those of you that have been following us, you know that Vanessa and I have been working on bringing you the latest news in the Australian and International blockchain space. There are so many exciting projects happening at the moment and interestingly enough in the current COVID-19 pandemic, there has never been a better time to explore the importance of blockchain on a global scale where the need for trusted medical data is more important than ever.  Today we are joined by four of Australia’s most incredible blockchain community members. Please welcome Karen Cohen, Cindy Nicholson, Ralph Kalsi and Nadeem Shaikh.    TechCloud TV is an online Tech Community Platform to connect like-minded individuals, exchange ideas and explore all things Tech.  Please continue to support us by clicking on the SUBSCRIBE button on our channel.   BookMarks:  (01:03) - Topic 1 [Healthcare moving online] To be able to share your medical record with your doctor or pharmacist is crucial to receiving proper care. It needs to be secure and accessible only by authorised personnel. There are growing concerns regarding the security of this information. Critically, a valuable use case has been for contact tracing.    (11:47) - Topic 2 [Supply chain management] In terms of blockchain solutions, how have you seen use cases applied in supply chain management, and how do you see this changing the future of Supply Chain Management, and the role of blockchain experts for the future of the world?    (26:18) - Topic 3 [Digital ID & Ownership of ID] In line with this view, we wanted to understand your views on the importance of digital ID and who actually “owns” ID? Vault12 Crypto Wallet solution: Interview w/ Wasim Ahmad - Chief Crypto Officer at Vault12

Vault12 : Decentralized Custody for your Cryptocurrency  Every blockchain aficionado and crypto-lover has faced a unique problem after securing their first crypto assets. Namely, the hesitation, anxiety, and doubts about the safety and security of their newly prized assets.  Perhaps you can relate:   “You pick up a new piece of paper and peer over your shoulders as you swiftly write down your secret seed words. You make at least 3 copies as you think of 3 places to hide them where they could never be found..”   Now, in this instance… I remember my wife walking into the room looking at me “surprised” as I sat hunched overlooking highly suspicious, she remarked:   “In the blacksmith's house, a wooden knife”.   Being a part of one of the most amazing times in the history of this technological revolution, requires something slightly more reassuring and technical than a simple piece of paper to secure your crypto assets.    An incredible team of developers, advisors and world-class investors agree that this needs to be changed and so here comes Vault 12. A new platform based on “Hierarchical Shamir's Secret Sharing” - we’ll dive into what this is later -  that will allow you to protect and store your cryptocurrencies with your complete control, privacy, and guaranteed reliability.    This is a necessary step toward achieving mainstream blockchain adoption as not everyone is willing to take on the same risks that current crypto enthusiasts face by “being your own bank”.    Problem As mentioned, these are amazing times, a new economy is forming right before our eyes and for many of us, this transformation is a once in a lifetime event that will change the way we all think about money.  With the new wave of technology, users are now passed on the responsibility to maintain the information of their:  Private keys Public keys Location of each wallet holding assets Password access to certain wallets Seed Words to recover and backup certain wallets  The responsibility to maintain every form of access to these assets thus become in full control of the owner. While that is something that is a huge benefit to society, it also allows the human error and nature of mistakes to cause crypto assets to be lost permanently, due to loss a variety of reasons including forgotten keys and access.    TechCloud TV is an online Tech Community Platform to connect like-minded individuals, exchange ideas and explore all things Tech.
