TekThing Video Feed - TEKTHING

Great show, always full of interesting information. I love Shannon’s fun, natural delivery and deep security knowledge. The friendship between them and the banter keeps it entertaining. (If you just hate women you will hate this show.) It’s a little too rapid/fire for me maybe, I like long-form Patrick on TWIT’s hardware show and I miss seeing Shannon on TWIT too. Please keep up the focus on the audio, I need to be able to hear it all without turning the volume up and down.

I find this show really charming and look forward to winding down with it after a long week at work. However, the HQ Video version rarely works with Apple TV or in the Apple Podcasts app. The fault ultimately falls with those apps but I think it’s due to whichever hosting service the videos are on being too slow. Patrick and Shannon: please use a faster service or else I’ll be forced to write my own Podcast app!

Patrick and Shannon are in tune with new and upcoming tech, whether YouTube or podcast it’s amazing! I don’t miss a show, absolutely worth listening too!

You would think a podcast about tech would get the audio right. Clearly this show isn’t being run through a compressor. The dynamic range of Patrick’s voice is such that I can’t hear half his sentences even with the volume on my iPad Pro turned all the way up into AirPods. Also, the claim promising “something useful in every show” is simply silly and impossible to fulfill. I do like Patrick’s expertise, which I’ve been following since ZDTV in 1998. However, the content of this show feels quickly thrown together; there’s very little in-depth content and a lot of idle conversation. Shannon is clearly there for eye-candy, but at least she’s a lot smarter than TWIT.TV’s Megan Morrone.
