Hi Anna, I know it’s been awhile since Supergirl ended, but I wanted to share how much I appreciate the time and energy you took out of your days to do this podcast. I watched SG when it first came out, but fell off the wagon sometime around season 3 (because life). I ended up coming back to the show not long after it ended because I saw a YouTube thumbnail of what looked like Lena and Kara as a couple. I’m not gonna lie, I honestly didn’t see the connection between Lena and Kara when I first watched the show. I had no idea SuperCorp was a thing. But that thumbnail made me stop and think “huh, that is actually pretty awesome. I’m gonna go back and rewatch the show.” I had never considered a relationship between a Luthor and a super, but suddenly a switch was flipped and the possibilities were endless. I didn’t want to ruin my watching experience so I refused to look up spoilers. Being older and having come out as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community my blinders were off and I saw the show in a bigger and brighter light. I loved everything about Lena and Kara being together. No one else made sense for her besides Lena. I think it goes to show that I was super let down when the ending lacked a SuperCorp romantic relationship :/. With a broken heart I went down a YouTube rabbit hole of SuperCorp clips *insert sad heart* until I came across a familiar looking thumbnail art. It was one of your SuperCorp vids (not sure if it was the same thumbnail that prompted me to go on this adventure, but I came full circle). I watched the video and was lead to here. I am so thankful that you made this podcast because it gave me an experience I missed out on. I got to find out what was going on with the show when it was airing. I learned so much background info I NEVER would have known otherwise. And I also got a better interpretation/explanation of the show from someone who is passionate and well informed as you. Even though it hurts and has scarred me with queer baiting. I do love the show and choose to rewatch it because your episode “SuperCorp Wasn’t Endgame… or was it?” validated my experience while also giving grace to the writers. They did what they could, is what I choose to believe. Your podcast along with fanfic writers help fill my little SuperCorp heart. So, thank you again for deciding to put your voice out there and for putting in the time and effort while being a student. I never would have gotten this experience otherwise. Much love and appreciation, Sylvia ❤️
P.S. I plan on going back and re-listening while rewatching the show just for funnzies every now and then.
