    CEF Missions Trip to Cairo, Illinois and the RCM Method

    This summer, CEF of Illinois conducted an 'In-State' Missions trip to Southern Illinois! We are so thankful for this OPEN DOOR to partner with Local Churches, including in Carbondale and Cairo, Illinois, as well as across the state! Our desire through all of CEF ministries year-round is to help Local Churches Reach Out, Connect With, and Minister To children and families in their community!     John Chapter 14: Our Heart, Christ's Home—Part 2

    Pastor Robert Munger in the 1950's wrote a little book called, "My Heart, Christ's Home." Today on our radio program, we will continue reading excerpts from this little book that points to a BIG TRUTH that the Lord Jesus does not come to just indwell us to be with us, but to actively day by day, make our heart Christ's home, until our heart is a reflection of the heart of Christ! John Chapter 14:23 says, "If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode (our home) with him."     John Chapter 14:12-21—"The Promised Gifts of Jesus"

    Before the Lord Jesus went to the cross, Jesus explained to His disciples that He had promised gifts that He would give to them after Jesus went back to be with the Father in heaven. John Chapter 14 describes these three specific promised gifts of power, answered prayer, and presence--which are not only for the disciples of Jesus back then, but for us today who have also believed on the Lord Jesus.
