This podcast is great for impartial opinions on the challenges that all of us gamers are facing on a day-to-day basis. It ranges from dealing with AAA development stagnation all the way down to new releases, and what you can expect before you buy. incredible podcast highly recommend

So happy to have this podcast in my life! The format for their reviews is creative, fun, and engaging. It’s the perfect podcast to listen to when you want to play a video game, but aren’t able to when you’re driving/working/etc. I really love the diversity of the games they cover and and both hosts have really insightful discussions. They cover topics from sound, visuals, and more and I feel like it even helps my own video game knowledge! Not to mention the hosts are pretty funny! Keep up the good work!

First I’d like to say that this podcast is a very easy listen. It is very well produced with sound and vocals coming through perfectly. The content is similarly stunning. They clearly take the time to research and find information on the points they present in each episode. And they even offer unique segments to the genre of game informant podcasts. Segments like companion piece and NPC awards. Take it from a 20yr old with little patience and a short attention span, you will be hard pressed to find an episode you won’t enjoy. Personally I enjoyed the chrono trigger and doki doki episodes the most. Chronotrigger for the clear passion Lucas has for the game, made evident in the extent of knowledge and research put into the episode and Doki Doki for Matt’s fair and accurate review of the sound, art, and overall gameplay. Truly this podcast is set above the rest. If I could give ten stars I would. I hope that the hosts continue to produce content that is this remarkable. Thanks guys for creating an amazing world for me to listen in.

I think it’d be cool to get in an episode since I enjoy these so much. Really excellent analysis of games without feeling too stuffy, good banter and chemistry between the hosts, great game selection. This is my first gaming oriented podcast and I’m glad to be getting in before it blows up.

I’ve been really enjoying this podcast. I don’t play many games, but the back and forth discussion between Matt and Lucas is very refreshing and funny. Great for gaming reviews and completely random topics (my fav!)

Fantastic podcast if you’re looking to get a behind the scenes look at the gaming/e-sports industry. As someone who’s not a consistent gamer myself I find its normally hard to figure out what certain podcasts are talking about , but Matt and Lucas do a great job of walking listeners through games in an interesting way that is easy to pick up. Happy listener here and will be coming back each week!

I personally listen to several podcasts across multiple different genres; each of these podcasts have their own strengths that distinguish them from one another, often tailored to the “goal” that the creators intend to accomplish. With “Thanks For Playing”, I feel that I am right there in the room with the hosts as they discuss topics pertaining to gaming and beyond- being a part of the conversation as a listener feels natural, and the hosts Matt and Lucas do well in bouncing off one another. Excited to watch this show continue growing!
