    Malik Barnhardt Talks Russell Simmons, landing roles in 8 Mile, Get Rich Or Die Tryin' & more

    Today, we sit down with actor Malik Barnhardt to discuss his journey into the movie industry. Hailing from New Jersey, Malik faced no easy roads to success. A lack of opportunities quickly led him down the wrong path, and he soon paid the price for his misguided decisions. As a young teenager, Malik started using drugs and found moderate success as a dope dealer. However, it wasn't long before he got caught up with the law and faced his first drug case. Despite this, Malik continued on his path into drug dealing. Eventually, everything caught up to him, and he ended up serving five years in prison. It was during his time behind bars that he discovered his true passion for acting.Upon his release from prison, Malik found himself at a crossroads. He had to decide whether to return to his old life or pursue his newfound passion for acting. With determination and a drive for change, Malik chose to chase his dream. Despite facing numerous challenges and setbacks, he persevered, honing his craft and eventually landing his first roles in movies like "8 Mile" alongside Eminem and Mekhi Phifer. Through hard work and dedication, Malik's talent caught the attention of industry professionals, leading to bigger opportunities in television and mainstream cinema. Today, he stands as a testament to the transformative power of following one's passion and never giving up on one's dreams, no matter the obstacles faced along the way.

    Prosper: A&R for Nipsey Hussle and his All Money In Imprint + Death Row, Def Jam & more

    Today, we sit down with a very close friend and business partner of Nipsey Hussle. He goes by the name prosper. He started in the sandbox with his older brother Black Sam. With that being said, we talk about his younger days growing up in LA, California. being a child in California, he was influenced by the same violent elements every other kid was influenced by gangs, drug dealers and music. When Prosper was a kid, had the local drug dealer looking out for him by giving him money for a every A he had one his report card. unfortunately, though, it would be impossible for him to escape the traps of being in a gang and joined the Bloods. However, this didn't stop him from being pursuing him true passion which was music. A chance encounter with Suge Knights landed him a job at Death Row Records. Here he got to work with the likes of Kurupt, Crooked I, Lisa Lefteye Lopez and more. After that experience, he really started to grow into himself when he started working with Russell Simmons on the Waist Deep movie and soundtrack. When all of those opportunities fell through due to circumstances outside of his control, he linked back up with his childhood friend Black Sam who introduced Prosper to his young brother, The Late Great, Nipsey Hussle. Everything was up from there on out, until his unfortunate demise. Find out how he over came that and what he's doing now.
