    This week on the podcast we have a very special guest, award winning designer Frank Stephenson. Frank of the world’s most renowned and influential designers of today. After graduating from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California he began his career in 1986 with Ford Motor Company. He then moved to the BMW Group where he designed the X5 and the award winning New MINI. From there, he has designed some incredible cars for Ferrari, Maserati and McLaren as well as designing a modern version of the iconic Fiat 500. The interview with Frank was so interesting and valuable that we have divided the conversation into two parts.     Episode #6 - Charlie Martin

    In this week’s episode, we speak to Charlie Martin who is real game changer in motorsport. Charlie shares with us her inspiring story and her passion for racing, surfing and finding tranquillity by the oceans. She started hillclimbing at club level in a Peugeot 205 (in 2004). Since then she has been breaking class records and working her way through various championships. She is now embarking on the ambition of a lifetime to make history as the first transgender driver to compete at the 24hrs of Le Mans, the greatest race in the World. In June 2021, as part of Vogue’s Forces for Change initiative, in partnership with BMW. Charlie was featured in British Vogue as one of four individuals to share their story about being themselves in their jobs and how being authentic has resulted in them delivering some of their best work. Charlie has fought continuously to overcome adversity throughout her life, having lost both her parents at a young age. As a transgender woman in motorsport, she occupies a unique role within her sport and the LGBTQ+ community and it is our pleasure to chat to her on the Active Digital podcast.     Episode #5 - Richard Wigglesworth

    In this episode, we speak to Premiership rugby’s record appearance holder and six-time league champion, Richard Wigglesworth. Not only is he an outstanding rugby player, he also works with Active Digital as one of our company ambassadors, alongside Steve Backley OBE. After making his professional debut for Sale Sharks in 2002, he went on to play for Saracens before recently moving to Leicester Tigers during the close season in 2020. By the end of 2019/20, he stood on 288 games, winning six league titles and a European Cup, plus 33 caps for England including selection for back to back Rugby World Cup campaigns in 2011 and 2015. An impressive sporting CV! We talk to Richard about his family, his long standing passion for rugby and how we can all learn to adapt to enjoy a good level of fitness at every age.     With the Tokyo Summer Olympics just around the corner, now is the perfect time for us to chat to another inspiring Olympian. Javelin thrower, Steve Backley OBE won nine gold medals at some of the world’s most renowned athletics events. He won silver at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games as well as Olympic medals in the 1992 and 2000 games where he won a silver and bronze. This makes him the only British track and field competitor to win medals at three different Olympic Games.
