God’s Selection
Romans 10:14-11:36

Main idea: We can trust in the mystery of God’s wisdom. 


God does not reject people, people reject God (10:14-11:2a).


We are saved by God’s grace (11:2b-24).


We are chosen by God’s mercy (11:25-32).

11:33-36 Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?” “Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them?” For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.

Romans: Faith in Obedience
Romans 9:30-10:13

Main idea: Obedience is the result of genuine faith. 

They will attempt to achieve salvation on their own (9:30-10:3). 

We all need a Savior, and he is Jesus Christ (10:4-7) 

You (One) must confess Jesus as Lord and Savior (10:8-13).

Hebrews 9:23-28

Main idea: The cross was the center of God’s salvific plan. 


The servant suffered on behalf of mankind (9:23). The servant became our representative
(9:24). 


The servant suffered once for all (9:25-26).


The servant is our hope for and assurance of salvation (9:27-28).
