As aging athletes ourselves, we have a unique perspective on what happens as we age. Having been swimmers, runners and triathletes as well as on the coaching side of things, including working with beginners, and raising athletic children, we plan to cover a variety of topics from mindset to self-care and even nutrition.

    Regenerative Medicine and Therapeutics with Orthopedist Luga Podesta, MD

    How happy I was to have found someone in SWFL (and close to me) who actually doesn't do surgeries and only works with people who are choosing NOT to have surgery.   I didn't even know regenerative therapy existed as a specialty but it's actually been around for quite awhile as you will hear.  Dr. Podesta  injected PRP (platelet rich plasma) and hyaluronic acid into my knees in November of 2021 for preventative purposes.  I've had 2 previous injections of hyaluronic acid only over the last several years (back in AZ) for lack of cartilage under my kneecaps giving me discomfort and swelling.  Dr. Podesta is a nationally recognized regenerative orthopedic and sports medicine physician specializing in the non-surgical treatment of orthopedic, musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries to the shoulder, elbow, knee, and spine, and brings with him over 3 decades of experience on and off the field.     Interview with Susan Saunders of The Age Well Project

    Susan Saunders is a health coach, author and TV producer. She's co-author of the blog and book, The Age-Well Project. She is certified as a health coach with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in NYC, and holds their advanced coaching certification. Her work as a coach led her to write The Age-Well Plan, a six-week program to kick start a longer, healthier, happier life. Susan lives  in London, UK but works with clients from all over the world.     Steve Gonser is the founder of RunSmartonline.com (https://runsmartonline.com/ ) who's mission is to provide access to quality training and running programs that provide the foundation for a long and healthy running career.  The RunSmart online platform helps runners get back to running faster.  Steve Gonser graduated with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Daemen College, instantly applying his knowledge of human movement and functional anatomy to his passion for running.  Steve is a 6x Boston Marathon Qualifier, a 2x Ironman, including a 10:41 finish in Lake Placid and a Sub-3 hour marathoner.
