    My guest today is Courage Coach, Mo Jones!  She helps women entrepreneurs embrace fear to speak with courage online to grow their business and audience. Mo got her master's in Speech, Language, Pathology and has worked with kids to help them with their speech.   As a Speech Pathologist, Mo had to apply her analytical skills to learn how the structure our bodies, like anatomy of our mouth, and diaphragm, affects our speech.  She has used that as a launching pad into her more recent creative work as the a Coach and Founder of the Breathe, Speak, Glow Community.    In this community, she supports women to venture out of their comfort zone by using their voice!  She practices what she preaches by putting herself out there.  You don't want to miss Mo and my conversation about empowering your voice, including practical tips on how to be a better public speaker.     For this last episode of Season 1, I am excited to have Dr. Jean Beaman on my podcast!  Jean and I went college together and like so many others, reconnected through Facebook.  I saw that she was a sociologist and was interested in her research on race, particularly in France.  She is an Associate Professor, Sociology at University of California, Santa Barbara, and she is the author of the book: Citizen Outsider: Children of North African Immigrants in France.   In our discussion, we talk about how she uses ethnography, which is a form of storytelling and investigative journalism in academic sociology, to help understand the intersection of race and identity.  You don't want to miss our deep conversation!     I am delighted to have Jessica Kern on my podcast today!  Jessica is a certified neuromuscular therapist who has been in practice since 2005.  She assists clients in resolving complex pain patterns.  Additionally, she has been a beekeeper for 8 years.  She actively draws insights from her studies of beekeeping and neuroplasticity, to think creatively and scientifically about solving the mysteries around pain.  She has a passion for sharing what she has learned, particularly in how to support clients with long standing or confusing pain issues.  Because Jessica and I cover so much, I have split this interview into 2 parts.  The 1st part we focus on her work with fascia and neuroplasticity, and the 2nd part we talk about beekeeping and how this is connected with her fascia work.  There are so many good nuggets in here!     19. Effective Communication as an Equity Analyst, Journalist, and Biographer

    My guest today is Bob Goldsborough, and he is a longtime friend back from when I lived in the Midwest.   Bob is an equity analyst for a money manager and he also has been a longtime freelance journalist for the Chicago Tribune.  Even though I have known Bob for years, I recently discovered that he also has a passion for history and wrote a biography on a local architect.  In our conversation, I uncover an underlying trait that runs across Bob's various positions, which helps him – he overcomes fear and remains persistent in his jobs.  I think this trait is very admirable and something we can all learn from.  You don't want to miss how we also talk about storytelling  .
