Why We Keep Falling Back Asleep — Part Two

In Part Two of Why We Keep Falling Back Asleep, Cassidy Stone and Christopher Labonte continue the conversation beyond Stoicism—into ancient philosophy, spiritual traditions, consciousness, and the patterns that keep pulling us back into automatic living. Why do so many civilizations and traditions seem to arrive at similar ideas? Why do we recognize something as true, begin to change—and then somehow forget again? This episode explores Stoicism, negative visualization, the mind and its “ripples,” higher self, prayer, purpose, ancient religious thought, and the connection between our inner state and the world we create around us. We also ask what happens when ideas separated by thousands of years begin sounding strangely familiar—and whether science, philosophy, theology, and ancient practices may sometimes be describing different sides of the same human experience. The questions get bigger in Part Two: What is the voice inside us that observes the mind? Why does awareness seem so difficult to maintain? Does everything have a purpose it was designed for? How much does the way we speak affect our internal and external environment? And if humanity has discovered versions of these ideas before… why do we keep forgetting them? ORDER, CHAOS & THE DIVINE FEMININE

Order, Chaos & the Divine Feminine | Featuring Mindy Jackson What if the parts of ourselves we call irrational, emotional, spiritual, or chaotic are not meaningless—but misunderstood? In this episode of The Approach Podcast, Mindy Jackson joins Cassidy G. and Christopher Labonte for a layered conversation about order and chaos, the divine feminine and masculine, trauma, perception, polarity, plant-based medicine, intuition, and the beliefs that shape our reality. We explore how the nervous system holds experience, whether healing always requires revisiting the past, how the primitive brain influences our reactions, and where psychology, spirituality, symbolism, and neuroscience begin to overlap. Not every idea in this conversation is meant to be accepted. Some are meant to be questioned. Some are meant to challenge the lens you are looking through. And some may make you reconsider what you thought you already understood. We are not here to tell you what to think. We are here to ask the questions that make you think again. WHAT JIM CALLS "SEPTEMICS"

What happens when we try to classify human beings? In this episode of The Approach Podcast, Cassidy G. and co-host Chris Labonte sit down with Jim Marshall, creator of what he calls Septemics, to explore his framework for understanding human behavior and development. Rather than treating the conversation as an interview, the discussion becomes an intellectual exploration. Together, they challenge assumptions, question definitions, and examine the implications of categorizing people. Is it possible to create useful models without reducing people to labels? What is the difference between observation and profiling? Where do biology, perception, experience, and personal responsibility fit? Whether you agree, disagree, or leave with more questions than answers, this episode invites you to think critically about the ways we interpret ourselves and others. Topics discussed: What Jim calls "Septemics" Human classification and development Subjective vs. objective observation Labels, profiling, and perception Nature, nurture, and human potential Philosophy, psychology, and systems thinking The strengths—and limits—of behavioral frameworks Learn More Jim Marshall & Septemics https://septemics.com The Approach 🌐 Website: https://theapproach.net 🎥 YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@theapproachllc About The Approach Podcast The Approach Podcast is a long-form conversational show exploring The Art of Self-Cultivation through psychology, neuroscience, philosophy, systems thinking, behavior, language, and lived experience.
