Meet (3) of the hearts behind Ramble and Company. Kathryn (owner) alongside team members Honor Willis and Alyssa Eakin, are just 3 Texan gals that share a love of margs, laughing, good tacos, hospitality and intentionality - who also just so happen to spend an amount of ridiculously (fun) time working together for Ramble and Co. They are passionate about creating space for honest, vulnerable conversations and inviting people into the space. You’re invited to join in on the fun. Pull up a chair, grab your marg (or beverage of choice), and get ready to cry, laugh and be challenged. You’re welcomed here!

This podcast is The Ramble On Show produced by The Armadillo Den. Ramble & Co. has had a good amount of transition in 2021 and 2022 and one thing has stayed the same, the heart. While Ryan isn't able to be in our everyday conversations, he very much is apart of our family and company.

The feeling of burnout is part exhaustion and also fear. I worry that I’ve shuffled through my first decade of being a mother and I’m trying to discern what’s best for my girls for the next decade. They are growing, maturing and I have no doubt that I’ve been able to teach them good and beautiful things through operating and running Ramble & Co. However, I worry about my ability to be truly present with them during critical and formative years. They support me, encourage me, and are my biggest fans when it comes to design, colors, and products we curate for the shop. My husband, Ryan, is the most supportive human and I can’t imagine doing life without him. He has comforted me, listened and allowed me to sit in my thoughts and fears.
Well, I would be lying to you if I said I haven’t sat in this feeling and complained about it. For a few months I let it completely take over and I was having a hard time finding the joy around me. Then one day, around the first of March, I flipped the switch. I decided that I could shift how and what I worked on each day. I could be present with a more positive outlook on my work/life balance. Instead of feeling the weight of all the work and expectations, I could lean on my team more than I ever have. I’m consciously working less, I’ve started outsourcing a portion of our printing, and I I’m making time for myself, my thoughts, and my family. If I had to pick one word for this year it would be “trust” which is playing off my phrase for last year, “do less with more intention”.
I hope this episode finds you well. I encourage you to journal your goals for the future, the things you desire for your day-to-day, and the fears that are controlling you. I am excited to share that I will be continuing my role at Ramble but making space to pursue consulting. I am currently still working on getting my website and social media up but I do have a survey I would love for you to fill out for me!

    ep: 20 \\ dec 2023: grief + burnout

Let’s play catch-up! Many of you know that I’ve been printing shirts for 15 years and have been a full time entrepreneur + shop owner for 9 years. My girls, ages 12, 10, and 7 have been born into a crazy hustle of life and work that I’m both proud of and exhausted from. I had a small medical issue last September followed by losing both of my grandfathers within a month of each other. Needless to say, I ended 2023 feeling an ache of burnout. I’ve sat in it, shared with close friends and family and have been praying for what chapter is next for myself, my family and my company.
I recorded this episode in December 2023 and am ready to be more open about my current season. I’ve been doing a lot of personal + business behind the scenes work that I’m ready to start sharing about. This episode is going to start the next season for this show. I’ll be back to share about what happened since this episode. If you resonate with any of what I talk about, stay tuned and don’t go far.
We did already post the survey and you can find it >> here .

ep. 19 \\ joy featuring Sundee Williams

When we experience joy we have a habit of attaching that emotion to certain places, things, and people as if it solely came from an outer source when in reality genuine joy comes from yourself. Joy is surrounding you at all times but it is up to you to access it! As women it is as if we are born with the constant worry of being enough which is a very heavy weight to carry.

ep. 18 \\ free to dream

We’ve all heard the saying “if you can dream it, you can achieve it,” at some point in our lifetime. When you are younger the possibilities of dreams are endless yet, when we grow older some of that magic tends to get lost. We begin to believe that certain dreams are impossible to reach but, we are here to tell you that is far from the truth.

ep. 17 \\ slow growth is still growth

As kids we are taught that an object in motion stays in motion but, as adults, that may not always feel true. I am sure we are all familiar with that weird, in between feeling where life doesn’t feel stagnant but it doesn’t feel like you’re moving either. This feeling usually comes, gradually or instantly, after a season of consistent, rapid growth. Even when we can’t feel or see it, growth is always happening. Slow growth is still growth. Join Kathryn, Honor, and our Special Guest, Blair Ramon from Gilbert Creek Gardens as they talk about the value and power of outer opinions, mental committees, and learning how to spot the difference between your own wants vs. what you believe others want.

    ep. 16 \\ courage

Happy New Year Ramble family! 2022 was full of big changes and new beginnings. As the holidays calm down we are taking a second to rest and reflect on the seasons this past year has brought. With every year we add to our belt we grow a little bit taller but, no one talks about the courage it takes to grow in a different direction (even the good directions). Join Honor and Kathryn as they speak about having the courage to grow in the direction the sun takes you, reflecting on the chapters of 2022, and welcoming the new possibilities that come with 2023.

Ramble & More! 🤩

Love this new podcast! I’m a loyal Rambler and this podcast is awesome! It’s been great to learn more about y’all and your cool friends!! It’s my favorite time of day - I pop in my earbuds and just tune out the world. I always feel uplifted and like I really learned something new or gained something after listening. I need more episodes though! After I listened to Episode 9 with Jesse Beckham I couldn’t help but feel something when I looked down on my wrist at my “Courage” leather bracelet...it’s pretty cool to feel like I know more about where it came from and the story behind it’s craftsmanship. Thanks Kathryn & Ryan! Can’t wait to visit Ramble one day!!

P.S. I love the intro song, it has the best chill vibe! Where can I get the full version?
