Customer Reviews
Asked and answered
I know there is a one star review on here, and for those who would see it and have similar questions or apprehension, I would direct you to ep. 27- Burritos for Jesus. Neal does a great job of responding directly to the issues in question from the review of the listener librarianlife. Don’t just take my word for it, go give it a listen at the end of the episode!
As always, keep up the great work gentlemen. 👍🏻
Funny and informative
This podcast has been a great resource to dive deeper into the message from the current series they have at this church. They have a lot of funny moments that I have had to wipe tears away but as soon as the hosts get into the biblical portion, I have learned so much from things I didn’t quite understand from the message any particular Sunday. As for a previous review on episode 19, the hosts say nothing of the sort and if you’re interested on hearing a response to that review, check out Burritos for Jesus episode.
Problematic
Re: (Episode 19)among other problematic points covered in this episode, is the baffling remark that pastors who sexually abuse others shouldn’t be necessarily removed from their position. Rape and sexual abuse are crimes, regardless of who commits them. This kind of rhetoric is why so many people are leaving church, and why so many victims in the church feel unseen and cast aside. If this particular episode represents even an iota of what this leadership team at this church values, believes l, and preaches, I question the motives and the mission of this church.
