The Attic Monologues

So many wonderful things about this podcast. Happy that someone made this piece of art and that it exists.

The monologues themselves are beautiful - haunting, mysterious vignettes grounded by lovely prose. Right away, the characters of the frame narrative have such a charming dynamic, and I can't wait to see their relationship grow. There's definitely an interesting hook in the frame, too, making the show a bundle of lovely mysteries wrapped in an encompassing, engrossing question. I don't often re-listen to podcasts, but I have a feeling that this is one I'll return to.

I’m really interested in this podcast the concept and the writing is really good but the audio is very quiet. I have to turn up the volume all the way and even then it’s still quiet I have to pause it every time I walk by a car or leaf blower or anything making a lot of noise on my walk.

So I think I was 4 episodes in thinking this would be a good background anthology podcast. But I had to go back and relisten because the monologues are dramatic, well-written, and relatable. The characters get better as they’re more fleshed out. My only issue is the levels and audio quality. I have my headphones at 90% volume and have a hard time hearing. Looking forward to finishing up the series and hoping for a season 2.
