    Forgiveness

Welcome to The B Code! Over the past several episodes, we’ve explored what it means to live as a Bold, Independent, Tenacious, Confident, and Honest woman. But today, we’re stepping into one of the most powerful acts of self-liberation: forgiveness. Not the kind that excuses what happened or pretends the pain never existed—but the kind that allows you to release what’s been weighing on your heart and reclaim your peace. In this episode, I share one of the most personal parts of my story—growing up believing my father’s absence meant I wasn’t worthy of being loved. For years, that childhood wound quietly shaped my relationships, my fears, and the way I saw myself. It wasn’t until I chose forgiveness that I realized healing isn’t about changing the past—it’s about changing the story you continue to carry. I also share the unexpected full-circle moment that came decades later, when my daughter inspired me to reconnect with my father before he passed away. This episode is a reminder that forgiveness doesn’t always restore what was lost, but it can release the pain attached to what was missing. In this episode, you will learn: Why Forgiveness Is an Act of Self-Love: How forgiveness is about freeing yourself from carrying resentment—not excusing someone else's behavior or waiting for an apology. How Childhood Wounds Shape Your Adult Life: Why experiences like abandonment can quietly influence your relationships, self-worth, fears, and the way you love—and how healing begins by rewriting those stories. The B Code Approach to Forgiveness: How Boldness, Independence, Tenacity, Confidence, and Honesty help you face your pain, detach your worth from others' choices, and reclaim your emotional freedom.Healing Through Expression: How journaling, creativity, conversation, and allowing yourself to fully feel your emotions can help release pain that has been stored for years.Forgiveness Is a Journey, Not a Moment: Why healing often requires choosing forgiveness again and again—and how each choice brings you one step closer to peace. This episode is brought to you by my upcoming book, How to Become a B.I.T.C.H. and Live Happily Ever After. This book is my heart and my story, and while it comes out later this year, you don't have to wait to start your transformation. Self-Abandonment

Welcome to The B Code! Over the past several episodes, we’ve explored the five pillars of The B Code—what it means to be Bold, Independent, Tenacious, Confident, and Honest. But today, we’re diving into one of the most common and damaging patterns that keeps women disconnected from themselves: self-abandonment. In this episode, I share a deeply personal story about my own experience with anxiety, chronic stress, nervous system dysregulation, and the physical breakdown that ultimately became my wake-up call. For years, I pushed through exhaustion, ignored my intuition, over-functioned, and put everyone else’s needs ahead of my own. What I didn’t realize was that my body was carrying the weight of every emotion, boundary violation, and act of self-betrayal I refused to acknowledge. Eventually, my body stopped whispering and started screaming. This episode is about understanding how self-abandonment impacts not only your emotional and mental well-being, but your physical health as well—and how healing begins the moment you stop leaving yourself behind. In this episode, you will learn: Why Self-Abandonment Happens: How people-pleasing, over-giving, perfectionism, fear of conflict, and the need for approval can slowly disconnect you from your truth, your needs, and your intuition. How Your Body Keeps Score: Why chronic stress, anxiety, burnout, exhaustion, insomnia, brain fog, and physical symptoms can be signs that you've been abandoning yourself for too long. The Connection Between Self-Trust and Healing: How rebuilding trust with yourself starts through small acts of self-loyalty, honoring your emotions, and listening to your body's signals before they become crises.Flip the Switch — Self-Abandonment Edition: How to interrupt survival-mode thinking, challenge old patterns, and create new beliefs that support healing, safety, rest, and self-worth.Why Choosing Yourself Isn't Selfish: How prioritizing your well-being allows you to move from survival mode into a life rooted in peace, alignment, and self-respect.This episode is brought to you by my upcoming book, How to Become a B.I.T.C.H. and Live Happily Ever After. This book is my heart and my story, and while it comes out later this year, you don't have to wait to start your transformation. The B Code with Kelly Merryman Turner

Welcome to The B Code! Over the past several episodes, we’ve explored what it means to live as a Bold, Independent, Tenacious, Confident, and Honest woman. But today, we’re taking that conversation even deeper as we explore healing, intuition, nervous system regulation, and the powerful connection between energy, emotions, and self-trust. In this very special episode, I’m joined by my first guest ever on The B Code podcast, Kelly Merryman Turner—founder of Soul Ascend Frequency Healing, Reiki healer, yoga teacher, sound healer, and someone who became deeply instrumental in my own healing journey. Together, we have an honest and heartfelt conversation about anxiety, burnout, intuition, meditation, emotional regulation, and what it truly means to come back home to yourself. Kelly shares her own transformation from living in chronic stress and misalignment to stepping fully into a life rooted in healing and purpose. I also open up about my own experiences with anxiety, panic attacks, losing self-trust, and how reconnecting with myself changed everything. This episode is a reminder that healing isn’t about becoming someone new—it’s about remembering who you already are. In this episode, you will learn: How the Body Speaks When You’re Out of Alignment: Why anxiety, burnout, emotional overwhelm, and physical symptoms can be signals that you’ve disconnected from your true self—and how learning to listen changes everything. The Connection Between Healing and The B Code: How Boldness, Independence, Tenacity, Confidence, and Honesty show up throughout the healing journey and help you reconnect to your intuition, self-trust, and inner peace. What Intuition Actually Feels Like: How to begin recognizing the difference between fear-based thinking and intuitive knowing—and why intuition often feels like calm clarity rather than anxiety. The Power of Meditation, Energy Work, and Gratitude: How practices like meditation, Reiki, sound healing, journaling, and gratitude can help regulate your nervous system, shift your energy, and create deeper alignment in your life. Why Healing Is a Practice, Not a Destination: How growth happens through consistency, curiosity, and learning to become kinder to yourself instead of waiting to feel “fixed” before you begin living fully. This episode is brought to you by my upcoming book, How to Become a B.I.T.C.H. and Live Happily Ever After. Gratitude

Welcome to The B Code! Now that we’ve explored the five pillars—Bold, Independent, Tenacious, Confident, and Honest—we’re stepping into something that has the power to transform every area of your life from the inside out: gratitude. Because The B Code isn’t just about becoming a stronger woman—it’s about shifting the way you see yourself, your life, and what’s possible for you. In this episode, we’re diving into the deeper meaning of gratitude and why it’s so much more than simply saying “thank you.” I share my personal journey of how gratitude went from feeling like a daily checklist to becoming a life-changing practice that shifted my mindset, my energy, and the experiences I began attracting into my life. What started as writing down a few things each day eventually became a powerful realization: the more I focused on what was working, the more blessings, peace, alignment, and opportunities I began to see. This isn’t just about positive thinking—it’s about rewiring your focus so you can move from scarcity to abundance and begin creating a life that feels aligned from the inside out. In this episode, you will learn: Why Gratitude Is More Than a Practice: How gratitude shifts your focus from what’s missing to what’s already here—and why that changes the way you experience your entire life. How Gratitude Expands the Five Pillars of The B Code: How Boldness, Independence, Tenacity, Confidence, and Honesty become stronger when rooted in appreciation, self-awareness, and trust. The Power of Focus and Perspective: Why your mind naturally scans for what you consistently focus on—and how gratitude helps retrain your brain to notice opportunities, blessings, growth, and possibility.Flip the Switch — Gratitude Edition: How to Catch, Challenge, and Change scarcity-based thinking in real time so you can shift into empowerment, resilience, and abundance. This episode is brought to you by my upcoming book, How to Become a B.I.T.C.H. and Live Happily Ever After. Complaining

Welcome to The B Code! Now that we’ve explored the five pillars—Bold, Independent, Tenacious, Confident, and Honest—we’re stepping into one of the most subtle yet powerful patterns that impacts how you live them every single day. Because The B Code isn’t just about who you are at your best—it’s about how you show up in the small, unconscious moments that either give your power away or bring you back home to yourself. In this episode, we’re diving into a habit that quietly drains your energy, clouds your perception, and keeps you stuck without you even realizing it: complaining. I share a powerful real-life moment from a meditation class where one simple question shifted everything—turning someone’s focus from everything that was going wrong to everything that was still good. That moment became a B Code awakening, revealing how quickly your energy, mindset, and entire experience of life can change when you choose to see the full truth. This isn’t about denying what’s hard—it’s about recognizing when complaining becomes your default and learning how to consciously choose a more empowering perspective. In this episode, you will learn: Why Complaining Becomes a Default: How it often shows up when you feel overwhelmed, unseen, or disconnected—and why your brain starts scanning for more of what’s wrong. The Hidden Cost of Complaining: How staying in complaint mode impacts your nervous system, limits your clarity, and blocks you from seeing what’s still good, growing, and possible. The B Code Approach to Reclaiming Your Power: How Boldness, Independence, Tenacity, Confidence, and Honesty help you acknowledge what’s hard without letting it define you.Flip the Switch — Complaining Edition: How to Catch, Challenge, and Choose your thoughts so you can shift your focus, regulate your energy, and step back into alignment in real time. This episode is brought to you by my upcoming book, How to Become a B.I.T.C.H. and Live Happily Ever After. Forrest Gump

Welcome to The B Code! Now that we’ve explored the five pillars—Bold, Independent, Tenacious, Confident, and Honest—we’re stepping into what it actually looks like to live them. Because The B Code isn’t just something you learn—it’s something you embody in real-life moments that test your voice, your values, and your self-trust. In this episode, I take you behind the scenes of one of the most pivotal moments in my life—booking the role of Carla in Forrest Gump. What looked like a dream opportunity quickly became a defining moment of alignment when I was faced with a situation that challenged my boundaries. I share how I used creative visualization to land the role, how I spoke up to honor myself on set, and how I navigated pressure, fear, and unexpected challenges without abandoning who I was. This isn’t just a story about Hollywood—it’s a story about choosing yourself, even when the stakes feel high. In this episode, you will learn: How to Hold Your Boundaries in High-Stakes Moments: Why honoring yourself doesn’t have to be loud or confrontational—and how offering solutions can create alignment without sacrificing your values. What It Means to Embody The B Code in Real Life: How Boldness, Independence, Tenacity, Confidence, and Honesty show up in real decisions, challenges, and unexpected moments.Flip the Switch in Action: How to Catch, Challenge, and Change fear-based thoughts in real time so you can move forward with clarity, self-trust, and alignment. This episode is brought to you by my upcoming book, How to Become a B.I.T.C.H. and Live Happily Ever After. Imposter Syndrome

Welcome to The B Code! Over the past few episodes, we’ve explored the five pillars of The B Code—what it means to be Bold, Independent, Tenacious, Confident, and Honest. But understanding these pillars is only the beginning. The real transformation happens when you start applying them in the moments that challenge you the most. In this episode, we’re diving into something almost every ambitious woman experiences: imposter syndrome—that inner voice that shows up just as you begin stepping into something bigger and asks, “Who do you think you are?” I share personal stories from my journey as an actress and later as a life coach, and how imposter syndrome followed me even when I had the education, training, and experience to back me up. What I learned is that doubt isn’t a signal to stop—it’s often a sign that you’re expanding. As we move forward in the podcast, we’ll begin exploring how the five pillars of The B Code work together in real-life situations like this, helping you move through fear, trust your voice, and fully step into the woman you’re becoming. In this episode, you will learn: Why Imposter Syndrome Shows Up: How self-doubt often appears when you’re stepping into new opportunities, new levels of growth, or unfamiliar territory. How Confidence Is Built Through Action: Why the key to overcoming imposter syndrome isn’t waiting until you feel ready—but continuing to show up and trust yourself anyway. The B Code Approach to Self-Doubt: How embodying Boldness, Independence, Tenacity, Confidence, and Honesty helps you move through fear and step fully into your purpose. This episode is brought to you by my upcoming book, How to Become a B.I.T.C.H. and Live Happily Ever After. The B Code - HONEST

Welcome to The B Code! Over the past several episodes, we’ve explored the five pillars of The B Code—what it means to be Bold, Independent, Tenacious, Confident, and Honest. Each pillar represents a step toward becoming the woman you were always meant to be. And today, we’re arriving at the final pillar: Honesty. But this isn’t about brutal honesty or saying whatever comes to mind. The honesty we’re talking about here is deeper and far more courageous. It’s the quiet truth you admit to yourself when something inside you begins to shift. It’s the moment you recognize that the life you built may still be beautiful—but it might not fully reflect the woman you’re becoming. In this episode, I share the moment I had to be deeply honest with myself. From the outside, my life looked full and beautiful. I loved being a mother, a wife, and the heart of my home. But somewhere inside me was a quiet voice asking for more—not more to prove, not more to escape, but more of me. I talk about how learning to honor that truth changed everything, and why honesty isn’t about abandoning your life—it’s about adding yourself back into it. In this episode, you will learn: What Honesty Really Means: Why honesty in The B Code isn’t about harsh truths or oversharing, but about recognizing when you’ve outgrown the version of life you’ve been living. How to Listen to the Quiet Call for More: Why feeling a pull toward something deeper doesn’t mean you’re ungrateful—it often means you’re evolving.Flip the Switch — Honesty Edition: How to Catch, Challenge, and Change the belief that wanting more makes you selfish, and instead recognize that wanting more often means honoring your growth. This episode is brought to you by my upcoming book, How to Become a B.I.T.C.H. and Live Happily Ever After. This book is my heart and my story, and while it comes out later this year, you don't have to wait to start your transformation.  I also created the FREE "B Code Starter Guide" just for you—five pillars, five practices, and one powerful shift so you can start living your B Code today.
