The Bad Calvinists are three pastor-friends ministering in South Central Ohio. We are in the PC(USA), a denomination that some call the mainline, others say is liberal, and still others deem heretical. We call it home! We’re Calvinists because the Presbyterian tradition finds its roots in the teachings of John Calvin. We’re bad because we critique and challenge the tradition from within, as an act of love and justice. We hope you find our conversations around scripture thoughtful, relevant and funny.

Engaging and faithful to Reformed Theology

As a PC(USA) pastor it is very refreshing to hear three pastors working through the journey we call faith. I thank you gentlemen for your knowledge, your insights and your passion for God, the Bible and theology.

Similar but Different

It’s so interesting to hear a more in-depth telling of topics we discuss every Sunday and every day on our lives. I personally appreciate how while sometimes they agree they have different viewpoints and strategies in which they face different topics.

Thought provoking and glorifying to God

I love to hear these pastors discuss topics through the lenses of scripture and I love the critique that they offer on Calvinist theology. It’s thoughtful, comforting, and practical.
