    Aaron is a professor and entrepreneur from upstate New York. Aaron is a world-traveler who has spent time living on a kibbutz in Israel, studying abroad, and running a health clinic in Haiti. We enjoyed hearing about Aaron’s Jewish life with his family and how he adjusted to his move from a big Jewish community in New York to the small (and mighty!) Jewish community in Nashville.

    In the first week of the Bagel Bunch, we interviewed Alon Diamant-Cohen. Alon is a recent Nashville “transplant” who has lived in Maryland and Israel but now calls Nashville home. He shared stories of his Jewish experiences and involvements from childhood to today. He went to camp, just like many other Jewish kids and he has been a part of various young Jewish communities around the world.

    This week on the Bagel Bunch, we interviewed Ben Doochin. Ben grew up in Nashville and went to school at University School of Nashville. He belonged to West End Synagogue growing up, went to college in Texas and graduate school in New Orleans, and then returned home to Nashville and the West End community. As an infamous “Hebrew School droput” at West End, Ben talked to us about how his attitude toward Jewish learning changed and his journey to becoming more engaged with Judaic studies today.

    On today’s podcast, we interviewed Mark Levine, a Nashville native who lives in Virginia. Mark went to West End Synagogue growing up then moved to the Northeast for his studies at Harvard and Yale. He is a Democrat serving in the Virginia House of Delegates. Mark is an outspoken advocate for the LGBTQ+ community and victims of domestic violence. Mark told us about his time as a Nazi hunter and his lifelong passion for Tikkun Olam or making the world a better place.
