    Lucas Rinz

    Lucas Rinz

Hell of a bass player, hell of a guy, Lucas Rinz splits his time between Philly and Joshua Tree and played on the Divided Heaven tracks 'Burn Me' and 'They Poisoned Our Fathers'. Lucas used to roll in Low Cut Connie amongst other bands, and now does studio work and works at La Copine, the great eatery in Landers, California. Obsessed with Muscle Shoals and Motown... you just have to hear Lucas play, he's the best.

    Charlie Stavish

    Charlie Stavish

Producer/Engineer and delightful studio madman Charlie Stavish has worked with many of your favorite singer-songwriters (including yours truly). Impressive resume indeed. Charlie has his own studio in Joshua Tree, The Clock Tower Recorder, and has a wealth of experience working in digital and analog (recording to tape, bay bay!) that is always so interesting to hear about. This conversation is must-listen for studio/recording folks. Reminiscent of the conversations Jeff and Charlie would have at El Compadre in Hollywood during breaks from the studio! This is the first podcast episode for the Into OBLivION series where Jeff will be interviewing the personnel that worked on Oblivion. More great conversations to come! Enjoy!

    Brett Delaney (Poor Me)

    Brett Delaney (Poor Me)

Finally, old friend Brett Delancy from Denver/Wyoming rockers Poor Me, sits down with Jeff for a candid conversation around education, politics, songwriting, and life. Poor Me's brand of frenetic, melodic, powerful music is undeniable, it is intelligent, and it is highly recommended for fans of Rise Against and Thrice.

Ryan Malott (500 Miles To Memphis)

Ryan Malott (500 Miles To Memphis)

Ryan Malott has fronted and led the Cincinnati rockers 500 Miles To Memphis for nearly two decades and has learned many lessons along the way. Ryan and Jeff dive deep into the challenges of longevity, the benefits of a good record label, navigating the f*****g internet, touring too much(?), updating the proverbial rolodex... all with plenty of mutual praise. 500 Miles To Memphis' new album, Hard To Love, comes out October 22nd and is sure to be a Best of the Year candidate!

    Sam Johnson

    Sam Johnson

Sam Johnson's ideas for a solo record were rerouted and revised due to some great production, some extra time and a willingness to take the risk. The result is Along the Dark Edges of Everything, a hauntingly great record by one of Boston's finest lyricists. As the singer for the band Choke Up, Johnson wrestled with the what, how and why for his solo debut and I think you will find Sam's answers honest and surprising. Enjoy!
