Hebrews 11:17-29 - Belief and Faith are Not the Same Thing

Jenn delves into the concept of faith, exploring its difference from belief and/or obedience. The discussion centers around the Hall of Faith in Hebrews chapter eleven, where the author of Hebrews highlights various individuals who demonstrated remarkable faith in God's promises: What is the difference between faith and belief? Why it's crucial to have faith, not just belief One can have belief, but not have faith; one can have obedience, but not have belief The stories of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and others, examining their faith actions and how they demonstrated obedience to God's commands. Moses considered the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt. How did Moses identify with the "reproach of Christ" if Jesus wasn't even born yet? We have a choice: be like the Hebrews, or be like the Egyptians The episode ends with a call to action to reflect on your own faith, asking if you are willing to take the step of obedience, even when it's difficult or uncomfortable.  Related episode: It Will Be Provided - The Faith Story of Abraham Explained After you're done with that, check out these websites:  YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hnh-aqfg8rw Ko-Fi - https://ko-fi.com/p40ministries  Website - https://www.p40ministries.com Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/p40ministries  Contact - jenn@p40ministries.com  Rumble - https://rumble.com/c/c-6493869  Books - https://www.amazon.com/Jenn-Kokal/e/B095JCRNHY/ref=aufs_dp_fta_dsk  Merch - https://www.p40ministries.com/shop  YouVersion - https://www.bible.com/reading-plans/38267-out-of-the-mire-trusting-god-in-the-middle Check out LifeAudio for other faith-based podcasts on parenting, studying Scripture, and more:www.lifeaudio.com Become a Coffee-Tier member to gain access to The Bible Explained on Fridays: https://ko-fi.com/p40ministries Support babies and get quality coffee with Seven Weeks Coffee https://sevenweekscoffee.com/?ref=P40 Discover more Christian podcasts at lifeaudio.com and inquire about advertising opportunities at lifeaudio.com/contact-us.

Hebrews 11:1-16 - Faith and Obedience Go Together

The lives of these biblical characters, who, through their faith, experienced incredible outcomes, such as Abel's continued influence despite his death and Enoch's rapture into heaven.
