    Ep6 – The Chess Analogy

This episode is the start of a three part series about several common analogies that we use in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Analogies are more than just poetic language, they are powerful tools that help people make sense of the world. Exploring them is often a valuable exercise. This first episode will be about BJJ as physical chess, the second episode will be about the ground as an ocean, and the third episode will be about matches as dialogues. Thank you for listening, I hope you enjoy!

Ep3 – Gameplanning for Competition & the Time I got Choked Out at NAGA

Ep3 – Gameplanning for Competition & the Time I got Choked Out at NAGA

The first half of this episode presents a reliable approach to developing gameplans for competition. In Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, matches are won by the grappler who is able to make the best decisions under great stress. Gameplans are the key to making great grappling decisions. In the second half of this episode I tell the story of the first time that I got choked unconscious in competition.
