    The BonCast Episode 7 with Paul Salter

    When I started learning about Paul and what he does I knew he had to be a guest on the BonCast.  He firmly believes that weight-loss-related challenges aren't related to lack of nutrition knowledge, but are actually projections of deeper rooted emotional and psychological challenges and that one won't be able to confidently sustain weight loss until those challenges are acknowledged and overcome.   His passion is helping men and women bring awareness to the negative self-talk, toxic thought patterns, limiting beliefs, counterproductive habits, and self-sabotaging behaviors holding them back from achieving their goals and helping them to understand the origins and then rewrite, reframe, and rewire for lasting, positive change.   Since 2013, he's worked one-on-one with 1,453 men and women who have collectively lost more than 10,000 pounds, thousands of inches, and maintained their results.     I have been super excited to record this one!  Chantel and I live in the same county and unbeknown to her, when I first started coaching last year, her words of encouragement on social media gave me a real boost.  I'd seen Chantel campaigning for better representation of fitness and female bodies through her posts and I knew we would be able to have an awesome conversation about this! From dealing with a long term chronic illness, being a Mum, working in fitness and competing in body building, Chantel has so much to share!     The Bon Cast Episode 4 with Jon Salmon

    Jon Salmon is an award-winning video executive producer, a digital pioneer and co-founder of branded entertainment agency Byte Entertainment. Jon lost his father to suicide as a teenager. After starting his first job Jon was sectioned and admitted to hospital with stress and depression. Luckily, Jon was able to get the right help and returned to work a year later. However, Jon decided not to tell anyone about his illness for nearly 20 years due to the stigma and affect it would have on his career and friendships. It was sadly after the suicide of a close friend due to postnatal depression in 2016 that Jon decided he had to speak out. Jon couldn’t have picked a more public platform to speak out when he spoke alongside the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry. Jon has since gone on to co-produce What’s Going On In Your Head exploring the secret inner workings of the mind through performance art and discussion, become a trustee for Let’s Talk About Loss a charity for young people who have been bereaved and the founding member and director of the Speakers Collective challenging stigma and facilitating important conversations. Jon lives in London, a proud Dad and speaks openly about mental health in the hope it will help others and save lives. Jon & Bon first 'met' through the work of mental health charity CALM and have followed each on social media for some years.  This is the first time they have been able to sit down and chat about how they got to know each other, why they are passionate about mental health and what fitness means to them.
