Beginning a Journey Towards Health and Wellness, with Darin Olien

When it comes to paths to wellness, it’s often our health struggles from early on in life that subconsciously point us in the right direction. This was certainly true for Darin Olien, who along with Zac Efron hosts the new Netflix series Down to Earth. In this episode of the podcast, Darin and the Amens discuss our bodies’ natural tendency towards healing, and how it’s so often sabotaged by the obstacles we tend to place in nature’s way.

Is it Depression, Anxiety, OCD, or All of the Above?

Moving Meditation: How it Trains Your Mind, with Jay Shetty

Moving Meditation: How it Trains Your Mind, with Jay Shetty

Former monk-turned author Jay Shetty says that meditation is not about emptying your mind. Rather it’s on directing your mind to enable you to stay present and focused. And this practice of training your mind doesn’t necessarily have to take place while seating in a quiet spot with no distractions. In this last episode of a series with Jay, he and the Amens discuss some of the ways you can train your mind to see beauty and complete experiences while in motion, whether it’s through yoga, martial arts, or just taking a walk.

I LOVE this podcast

I love this podcast! I can’t believe it’s been going on for as long as it has but I’m glad I know about it now because I have so many episodes to listen to!
Why do I love it? Dr. Amen and Tana Amen cover very well the various aspects of how we can be taking care of our brains and bodies to live healthier, smarter, and up to our potential.
I quit drinking in part because of hearing Dr. Amen and Tana on Jim Kwik’s podcast.

I highly recommend this podcast for anyone and my second favorite part about it is that these episodes are so short and yet still full of knowledge (which is my favorite part)!
