Creative cocktails for a pandemic lockdown. With Paddy Moore, author of Quarantinis, Eh? Episode 8

The Covid-19 lockdowns had most of us looking for new ways to pass the time and many found a new creative outlet. Author Patrick Paddy Moore put together a forty-day journal of the first phase, from March 2020, with each day featuring a delicious cocktail and some thoughts on the day's pandemic events.  This was a case where the unusual situation led to the idea and the decision to proceed with the creative process. Gail talked with Paddy Moore about his reasons for doing his book Quarantinis, Eh?  and about the differences between working in a team and working on a creative project solo.

They wanted to write something funny and something about sports, and they came up  with One Wild Ride, the saga of the Dake and Bates Show. Gail spoke with them about the beginnings of the project, the challenges of getting it done during the pandemic, and their advice for people who want to write a novel.

Unsubscribe from Anxiety, with author David A. Stone

Sometimes, the idea for a nonfiction book appears slowly from a series of observations or experiences, like a steady drizzle. Sometimes, it refuses to arrive, like a refreshing rain needed in the midst of a drought.
But sometimes, it is the downpour that fills up all the barrels and pails, and keeps everything healthy and growing.
That was David Stone's experience when he got the idea to write a book to help people with their fear and anxiety.

Inspiring!

This is such a great discussion for creatives who need to be constantly inspired with new ideas. It’s really useful for staying out of a creative rut to hear how other artists and creative people find their ideas and then run with them. Can’t wait for the regular release of new episodes!
