EPISODE 17: RHOP-WE'RE NOT HOSTING A PARTY IN YOUR F'ING DRIVEWAY! (PART ONE)

Welcome to Part One of our recap of The Real Housewives of Potomac - Season 6, Episode 12 – “Reasonable or Shady?” With special guests Amanda Blake Davis!!! Robyn was CERTAIN this would be a win for the ladies! And yet ABD said, “I’d rather compost than watch this show.” And Carla agreed! There’s no holding back on the hot takes in this episode. Yet we all can agree that these ladies Show Up. They Turn Up. And they look Fabulous.” Hot debates include: ● Is the janky party Gizelle hosts in her driveway while her house is under construction produced? ● Is this the origin of the Shady parlor games? And are they necessary? ● Could there be a Real Housewives franchise where everyone is just supportive and NICE to each other? ABD and Carla vote YES! ● And the question is posed: Is Wendy’s candle a 1-wick Wonder? Or is Karen’s 3-wick the lasting winner? And we have a new segment on the show: THE BOOT! In which we decide which of the cast members should get ‘the (Gizelle) Boot’ and leave our screens forever (or until they join the casts of Traitors, House of Villains, or Special Forces) Despite these hot debates, Carla loved ALL the women and wants no one kicked off. Will her wish come true? With the news of late…. That’s TBD. We are so grateful to our hilarious friend Amanda Blake Davis. Follow her @missamandablake. If you’re in LA catch her on the funniest improv team in town - @heydayimprovteam. And follow @stillmine_thefilm for updates on her beautiful short film. Links: NO QUIZ THIS WEEK! Episode 16 – LET’S TALK ABOUT THE HUSBANDS… RHOC: PART TWO

Welcome back to Part Two of our recap of The Real Housewives of Orange County - Season 10, Episode 2 – “Take a Swing” With special guests - Carla & Robyn’s Husbands Craig Cackowski and Atul Singh! Craig and Atul feel for the husbands on these shows - “They didn’t sign up for this!” The group dissects Shannon Beador’s “Eulogy Therapy”. And we get deep into a discussion of the real reasons people are drawn to these shows: * Is it women clocking micro interactions? * Is it comfort TV from a nurturing impulse? * ‘And why are people still friends after their Bestie throws wine in their face on national television? (probably the paycheck) Plus, Carla is shocked that Shannon has more followers than LuAnn. LuAnn is so funny! Yet we all agree, after watching “Money Can’t Buy You Class”, that it is the work of an artist in the early stages of finding their (ahem) “voice”. Out of 5 stars, the husbands may have rated Orange County only ½ star. Yet, even Craig admitted these shows “bring pleasure and joy to millions.” And, for Robyn, that’s enough for us to keep on going. Unlike the show, BravoTV did not destroy these real-life marriages. Or this podcast! The Bravo Bubble. This podcast lives on!! Links: NO QUIZ THIS WEEK! No show notes either. We dove straight into the episode and didn’t come up for air! EPISODE 13-WHAT CRAPPENS IN THE VALLEY STAYS IN THE VALLEY

Episode 13 - WHAT CRAPPENS IN THE VALLEY STAYS IN THE VALLEY We took a Field trip to the live show of Watch What Crappens! Carla knows Ronnie from the improv world and Robyn is a superfan. They covered The Valley, Season 2, Episode 10 – “You’ve Been Served”. And, boy, were WE served some ART. What an explosive (and hilarious) episode. Jax gets out of rehab and gets Botox and a haircut but takes ZERO accountability. Brittany discovers JAX’s burner account, Frank Dremon. Carla likes… Janet?! What?! We both love Zach – he’s a STAR! And Carla’s connections to the Bravo World can’t be denied when she realizes she used to work with Danny Booko! The verdict is in, and we both love the Valley! Top Tier Show. Listen & play along to find out what Robyn will assign Carla (and YOU!) next. Links: NO QUIZ THIS WEEK! It’s too hot in the Valley to concentrate on homework. Fun stuff we discussed: Carla and Robyn had a blast at the live taping of Watch What Crappens at The Fonda Theatre The beautiful The Fonda Theatre lobby – where Carla has Definitely NEVER been before. Ronnie Karam and Ben Mandelker were HILARIOUS, as always. And it was so fun seeing them in person. Their fans were losing it! And then…. Zack Wickham came out as the surprise guest! He’s such a star. We love him! And then June, June, Hannah Ferrier !!! Robyn & Carla outside the theatre on Beautiful Hollywood Blvd. This is moments after Carla realized that she KNOWS Danny Booko! In other news, Carla, Robyn and tons of Second City friends showed up for our friends Dana Quercioli and Megan Hovde’s HILARIOUS pilot Gumshoes at the Dances With Films Festival at the historic TCL Chinese Theatres. It was so well done and expertly directed by Sarah Haskins. Keep an eye out. We really hope to see more from this show! Carla also organized a fun 4th of July outing for some friends – we went to a fancy brunch and went to the iconic Venice Beach to watch the skateboarders and peek in on Muscle Beach. Carla watching the skateboarders on Venice Beach. Robyn on Venice Beach. Rooftop drinks with our friend, Amanda! Carla hiding from the sun and looking CUTE! Thanks for listening and playing along! Episode 12: FIGHT! FIGHT! SMALL MEN, FIGHT!

Episode 12 - FIGHT! FIGHT! SMALL MEN, FIGHT! Well, the world is worlding and we needed a break. No catfights today! We dipped back into our current comfort show, Bravo’s Love Hotel, with Season 1, Episode 2 – “Three’s a Crowd”. Shannon is growing on Carla. Gizelle is a STAR! And Carla and Robyn laughed SO hard at the ladies and the “small men” fighting. Plus, Carla legit exclaimed “I LOVE this show!” Now her husband, Craig, is worried she “got sucked in.” Haha! Robyn’s plan is working! They also chat about Carla’s lucky raffle win, Robyn’s latest Twin Peaks events, AND Carla discovers that she sold the very bucket hat from this episode at her vintage shop Jacaranda Eve. What?! Listen & play along to find out what Robyn will assign Carla (and YOU!) next. Links: NO QUIZ THIS WEEK! There’s no homework at the Love Hotel. Fun stuff we discussed: Carla & Robyn were both inspired by the kindness they saw at the No Kings Protests this weekend. Carla won a ‘Harold & Maude’ script at a WGA Raffle! AND Carla discovered that she had sold this very Bucket Hat -- he hat that graced the heads of LuAnn, Shannon, Gizelle & Ashley – at her vintage shop, Jacaranda Eve. WHAT?! Another cosmic connection of Carla and Bravo Robyn went to see our friend @theepiclloyd in the first stop of their world tour for Epic Rap Battles Of History. It was at the iconic Roxy Theater. And the show was INCREDIBLE! Robyn saw David Lynch’s ‘Blue Velvet’ at Cinespia. It was, OF COURSE, Amazing. And they had items from David Lynch’s estate sale via Julien's Auctions. Robyn couldn’t afford anything, yet was SO grateful for this picture by his director’s chair. And here is Robyn at the official Cinespia Blue Velvet photobooth. The setup is Incredible. People REALLY dressed up. Robyn was in line early, so jeans and t-shirt had to do. Still love this pic! And here is Robyn actually dressing up for her friend Courtenay’s David Lynch themed birthday party. Yes, this is absurd. Yes, this is at an iconic filming location from Twin Peaks Season 1. For all you Peaks Geeks out there this is where the Timber Falls motel was located. One last thing. If you love Twin Peaks, you MUST check out Courtenay Stallings fantastic book Laura's Ghost: Women Speak about Twin Peaks Okay, back to Bravo! Look, sometimes we take detours. We’re just going with the flow here at the Bubble. Thanks for listening and playing along! And HUGE thanks to those of you who have left us Reviews on Apple Podcasts & Spotify. It really helps! Episode 10: TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLAR TACOS FOR EVERYONE!

Episode 10 - After the intensity of last week’s New Jersey episode, Carla and Robyn decide it’s time to take a break from the Housewives franchise. On this week’s podcast, the besties dip their toes into the larger Housewives universe with Bravo’s Love Hotel. Divorcées Shannon Storms Beader (Orange County), Gizelle Bryant (Potomac), Ashley Darby (Potomac), and Luann de Lesseps (New York) mix and mingle with a group of eligible bachelors in the hopes of finding romance and – perhaps – even marriage! Sweet bachelor Earl is the clear favorite for Robyn and Carla, though they both admit it’s too early in the series for the Housewives to set their sights on just one Romeo. Carla finds solidarity with the bachelors who admit they’ve never seen an episode of the Housewives and Robyn enjoys watching Luann act on brand as the Countess casts a wide net to catch the most handsome man at the hotel. Links: Play along with this week’s Quiz: And here are the men Carla and Robyn were discussing from this week’s episode of Love Hotel. And let’s talk more about THAT $25,000 TACO! Other Fun Stuff we chatted about: Robyn went to the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books: She couldn’t believe it when she saw literal BUBBLES at one of the booths and then discovered that the author wrote a book ABOUT THE REAL HOUSEWIVES! It’s called Fame By Misadventure. By Will Sterling “Chinatown Meets Real Housewives in this Hollywood “Whydunit”. I mean, WHAT?! That’s perfect. Robyn chatted with the author (who is super nice). And Carla loves to read, so Robyn snatched up a copy for her. Should we have a future Book Club episode on this book?!?! We’re thinking, yes. Also, what are the odds that Will would have Bubbles blowing at his booth? It was truly meant to be! Carla and Robyn also saw a FANTASTIC play at The Geffen Playhouse called Furlough’s Paradise. Written by a.k. payne & directed by Tinashe Kajese-Bolden. Keep your eyes peeled, as we have a feeling you’ll be seeing more of this gorgeous play in the future. And if you haven’t seen Elizabeth Moss’s dramatic interpretation of Sutton Strack on Watch What Happens Live you MUST watch. It’s a work of ART. You can watch it HERE. Have you seen The Thrilling Adventure Hour? It’s “America’s favorite stage production in the style of old time radio”. And it’s Hilarious. You can follow them at @thrillingadv. And they still have some dates on their current tour if you want to see them live - The Thrilling Adventure Hour Live And last, but not least, Bravo is infiltrating Carla’s feed due to her love of Nicola Coughlan. Watch this moment when Nicola meets Stassi Schroeder! Thanks for listening and playing along! Want to see MORE of our faces?
