This is a place to take off the mask, ask the hard questions, and go beyond performative Christianity. We talk about faith, suffering, obedience, culture, identity, and the places where following Jesus actually gets real, through faith that actually changes you from the inside out. In this episode, Cia gets real about what happens when the thing you prayed would never happen actually happens. After a drunk driver hit her at 140 mph and changed her life forever, Cia found herself wrestling with bitterness, pain, anger, and a question she didn’t know how to answer: “God, why did You let this happen?” She talks about what it looked like to love Jesus while being hurt by what He allowed, the confusion that came with unanswered questions, and how she began to navigate the tension between trusting God and being genuinely angry with Him. Because sometimes faith doesn’t look like having answers. Sometimes it looks like sitting in the pain and choosing to keep talking to God anyway. Every episode is an invitation to break bread, break the mask, and get vulnerable about what it means to know Jesus and let Him change your life. Because following Jesus isn’t about pretending we have it all together. It’s about surrender, truth, and becoming more like Him in the middle of real, messy life.     The Blood that Breaks Your Bondage: Episode 4

    Hey fam! Welcome to Episode 4 of the Breaking Bread Podcast “The Blood that Breaks Your Bondage” I am finally recovering from my concussion to film this introduction for this episode that is near and dear to me. The blood is mentioned over 700 times in the Bible, so don’t you think it's important to talk about? I’m joined by my friend Aaron, who is a worship leader and artist with UPPERROOM Church. We discuss communion and how the blood of Jesus has transformed His life through Scripture and joy of the Lord! As Augustine of Hippo says best, “He gave Himself for you: keep yourself for Him. He shed His blood for your ransom: do not make yourself a slave again.” The blood atones for your sin, redeems you, cleanses you, justifies you before God, and reconciles you to Him. So yeah- it's a big deal. Satan is the “accuser of the brethren.” The blood of Jesus answers every accusation and defeats every hold he tries to claim over you. You can resist the devil, not in your strength, but by the authority of the blood. Rev 12:11. Why should communion be a part of your life? What if you believed Jesus’ blood bought your freedom?
