Is God Finished With the Jewish People? Here’s What the Bible Says | David Guzik

Has God finished with the Jewish people—or does Scripture reveal that they still have a place in His unfolding plan? Pastor and Bible teacher David Guzik joins Joyce Dorian and Pastor Derek Anglin for a thoughtful conversation about Israel, the Jewish people, the Church, and the importance of allowing the Bible—not politics or culture—to shape what we believe. David also shares how the Enduring Word Bible Commentary began, why understanding Scripture in context matters, and what he has learned through decades of verse-by-verse Bible teaching. IN THIS CONVERSATION: • Has God rejected or replaced the Jewish people? • What does the Bible reveal about God’s continuing plan for Israel? • How should Christians approach difficult passages of Scripture? • Why must we understand and apply God’s Word rather than judge it? • How can Bible commentaries help believers study Scripture faithfully? • How can Christians grow in love for both Scripture and the Jewish people? Why It’s So Easy to Misunderstand the Old Testament | Lois Tverberg

“I didn’t like the God of the Old Testament.” That’s what bestselling author and Bible teacher Lois Tverberg once believed—until understanding the Bible’s Jewish context changed everything. In this conversation, Lois reveals how Hebrew words, ancient culture, and the Jewish world of Scripture can deepen our understanding of the Bible, reveal the character of God, and help us fall more deeply in love with Him. The Bridge is hosting a 10-week online study of Sitting at the Feet of Rabbi Jesus, beginning Thursday, October 8 at 6:30 p.m. ET. How Can So Many Christians Be Missing This? | Pastor Brandon Holthaus

Pastor Brandon Holthaus joins me for a bold conversation about some very important topics: Spiritual warfare. The silence of the Church. Why so many Christians are unable to recognize spiritual deception. Why eschatology matters. The importance of being salt and light. And why the Church—and each of us—cannot abandon our responsibility to boldly raise our voices. This conversation may be convicting—but isn’t that a good thing? And it definitely points us back to our hope in Jesus. “If you’re ignorant of the spiritual war, you’re going to be deceived.” Learn more about Brandon Holthaus Ministries: https://brandonholthaus.com Learn more about Rock Harbor Church: https://rockharborchurch.net Connect with The Bridge: https://linktr.ee/joycedorian Support the work of The Bridge: https://buy.stripe.com/aFabIU3Ch40o3K28G6bAs01 We hope you will will Subscribe, Follow, and Share as we continue the work of healing the disconnect between Jews and Christians. Why Are Christians So Divided?

Why are Christians so divided? Jesus prayed that His followers would be one. Yet Christians can find themselves divided over denominations, traditions, interpretations, and issues that may not be foundational to our faith. In this episode of The Bridge, I sit down with my friend Pam Macari, founder of One Community One God, for a conversation about what it means to focus on Jesus, hold firmly to the things that truly matter, and not allow lesser things to divide the Body of Christ. Are the things that divide us more important than what unites us?
