How we can help our kids and teens that are struggling with their Mental Health

How we can help our kids and teens that are struggling with their Mental Health

If you are like most parents, you want the best for your kid. You want them to succeed, feel loved and supported. Teens today struggle with anxiety, depression and suicide more than any other generation before them. Data shows that in the U.S., suicide is the third leading cause of death for young people, and, more specifically, the second leading cause of death for youth ages 10 to 14. What can we do as parents? This episode explains some of the reasons why teens struggle with mental health as well as some things we can start doing to help better support our kids and teens.

Inspiring.

This is one of my favorite podcasts as it is so relevant to anything I might be going through. The stories of the guests featured are so inspirational and moving that it makes me grateful to be listening to them. I always come back anytime I’m in need of some advice about my mental health. Thank you Mel!

Helpful, useful, real….

This is one of the most practical and useful podcasts I have ever listened to! This podcast asks people to share what they’re honestly going through, without the effort of trying to make it all seem fine to others. Mel doesn’t hold back on sharing her own experiences either. It is sometimes funny, sometimes sad, sometimes both, this podcast lets you know you’re not alone and there is still happiness, peace, and joy in life. It’s a journey, there’s healing, there is a bright side of life. 🌻💛
