I first heard of Bryan Samms from last year’s Idea Summit. Started listening to his podcast and the first one I did just wrecked me.(Why Leaving Full Time Ministry for a Season May be a Good Thing) I’m an Assistant Pastor at a stronger Fundamental Baptist Church and this 1st episode helped in so many ways. I was at a low time and felt trapped in ministry. Among many others, I’ve really enjoyed the “Learn Preaching” podcasts as well.

Bryan Samms is a thought leader of the concept of Jeremiah 48:10. He, and those like him, are carrying on the work begun in Numbers 22-23, and will have its completion in II Pet. 2. I do not personally know of another professing Christian who is more blatant about the approach of purposeful deceit in the work of (what he calls) the ministry. I’m for the freedom to believe anything anyone would like to…but when a man hides what he’s doing to further his cause, and starts a podcast, website, YouTube channel, etc. to disciple others in the preparation, and delivery of such deception. That’s a special kind of devilment.

As a former student of Bryan, I very much enjoy this podcast. It was through this podcast that I was able to link up and receive my first ministry opportunity. The episode on mental health was great and as someone who struggles with mental health and depression, I could not agree more that it is a widely misunderstood counseling topic. Keep up the good work.

I’ve had the privilege to take several undergrad and graduate courses taught by Dr. Samms at Veritas Baptist College.
