NBA 2022-23 Pre-Season Award Show + Fantasy Advice

NBA 2022-23 Pre-Season Award Show + Fantasy Advice

In an offseason where many players requested trades, not all were fulfilled. For example, KD remains in Brooklyn.

However, one player who did have his wish granted is Donovan Mitchell. As the Jazz continue to accrue draft compensation, the Cavaliers aim to prove that they are a legit Eastern Conference contender with 3 all-stars as well as a budding Evan Mobley. In this episode, host John along with guests Adiyan and Sriram discuss who they believe won the trade. Could the Jazz really be the winners?

In this spiral of conversation, the three eventually begin to imagine what the seeding among the conferences will look like. Could the Lakers actually be in the 6-8 seed range?

Finally, the episode ends with an award show of the upcoming season where Sriram, Adiyan, and John assume who will be winning which award (MVP, MIP, DPOY, 6MOY, & ROTY). They surprisingly have different takes on a lot of the awards and debate how valid some players are in the argument. For example, will the Mavs be good enough to validate Luka as an MVP candidate this year?

The three also offer trickles of fantasy basketball advice such as players/patterns to keep an eye out for!

    Enjoy the episode!

Is this Em-Beard Sixers combination UNSTOPPABLE?

Is this Em-Beard Sixers combination UNSTOPPABLE?

In this episode, John answers three questions:

    Who won the Harden-Simmons trade?
    Is Chicago the real deal?
What do the Suns do without CP3?

He goes into great detail about the importance of each topic. For example, Ben Simmons is still a great player that, according to John, is portrayed to be someone he is not in the mass media. The Bulls have definitely proven to make one of th best offseason moves with Demar Derozan who is having an MVP-calibre year. Still a nascent team, they await Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso, and Patrick Williams to return from injuries in the next few weeks. Finally, the Suns have already lost two straight games without their veteran guard Chris Paul. The question continues to arise all over the NBA about whether they will be ready to fully compete in the playoffs with lingering injuries like this. Make sure to give the episode a listen to hear John’s opinions and hot takes on all these topics. Enjoy!
