    5. Intro to The Grief Protocol: A Step by Step Map Through Grief That Actually Works

What if grief didn’t have to feel like wandering with no destination? In this episode, Ashley introduces The Grief Protocol, a six-step framework built from her own grief journey after losing her sister. Not a checklist. Not toxic positivity. A real, structured path back to yourself. This episode covers: - Why the things people say to comfort you in grief actually make it worse - What grief really looks like when it’s not crying in bed but numbing, spiraling, and shame - Why grief without structure feels like a GPS with no destination - A full breakdown of all six steps before the deep dives begin, so you know exactly what’s coming - Why the order of the steps is everything and what happens when you skip ahead This is the episode you send to anyone who is grieving and doesn’t know where to start. If your nervous system has been in overdrive, if the platitudes people keep handing you aren’t landing, or if you are just exhausted from surviving your loss with no real direction, this is your map. 4. The Parts of Grief Nobody Warns You About

Everyone tells you grief is hard. Nobody tells you what it actually feels like from the inside. In this episode, Ashley sets down the tools and the frameworks and just talks. About her grief. The real version. The parts that made her question herself, the parts that isolated her, and the part that finally cracked something open. This episode covers: * What it felt like to plan her sister’s funeral while everyone told her to stay strong * The anger she felt toward the person she lost and why that doesn’t make her a bad sister * Why she could only cry alone and what that taught her about grief and shame * How grief waves kept pulling her under even when she thought she was finally healing * The one percent moment that led her back to God before she had changed a single thing This is not a teaching episode. It is a witness episode. If you are grieving a sibling, carrying unfinished conversations, or wondering why your grief doesn’t look like anyone else’s, this one will find you exactly where you are. 1. This Is Where It Starts

In the very first episode of The Calm Sphere, Ashley introduces herself, this podcast, and the real, unfiltered story behind why she built this space. This is the truth about what it looks like to lose someone you love, fall apart, find your way back, and decide to bring other women with you. Ashley opens up about losing her sister at 29 years old to an accidental fentanyl overdose, the survival season that followed, the shame she carried, the substances she leaned on, and the slow, nonlinear road back to herself, her faith, and her life. She also explains what The Calm Sphere is, what it is not, and exactly who it was built for. This episode is a letter to the woman who is tired of surviving. And it starts right here. What We Cover in This Episode: Ashley shares her story from the ground up, including: - The loss of her sister, and the truth about how she died, told out loud because the silence around overdose grief has never helped anyone heal. - What her survival season actually looked like, and why grief does not always look like crying on the couch. - Becoming a twin mother in the middle of the hardest season of her life. - The shame spiral, the numbing, the cycles she could not break, and what it felt like to not want to be alive. - The slow, turning point that did not come all at once, but came through scripture, community, and a daily decision to get close to God. - Where she is now, including sobriety, a college degree in human services, entrepreneurship, and a faith that was built from the ground up. - What The Calm Sphere is, a space that holds your nervous system, your grief, your faith, and your humanity all at the same time.
