The Campfire Podcast

Yes, it’s true, when I first heard about the idea for this podcast I was not a fan. It seems like everyone is dreaming of starting a podcast- like they have something special to offer to the world 💁🏼‍♀️ I am sorry for doubting, you guys surpassed my expectation and have officially won me over. All the other doubters out there should give the campfire podcast a chance! Be prepared to be happily surprised by both the humor and the depth. ♥️ your older sis

Okay, listen up, fellow seekers of the divine, or whatever. I just finished a 'spiritual journey' (let's be real, it was mostly a drive to work) while listening to this thing called 'The Campfire Podcast'. I'm not sure if I should be laughing or crying. It's like they took all the cheesy tropes of Christian radio and threw them into a campfire, then invited a bunch of people to sing along to the flames. Seriously, there were moments I swore I heard a chorus of angels, but they sounded like they were gargling with gravel. And the host? Let's just say he's got the charisma of a wet sock, but with a weirdly enthusiastic voice. I mean, the guy's got more pep in his step than a caffeinated squirrel, but his jokes are about as funny as a sermon on the dangers of unwed couples. And don't even get me started on the 'inspirational' stories. They were so saccharine, I swear I developed a toothache just listening. But hey, if you're looking for a podcast to make you feel like you're trapped in a Christian-themed improv comedy show, then 'The Campfire Podcast' is your jam. Just make sure you have a good pair of noise-canceling headphones, because the sound of my own internal groans was getting a little too loud for comfort… JK I loved it.

Cool podcast, interesting topics. It’s cool to hear 4 young men give there opinions and views on current topics that many people don’t consider. Most people are numbed by social media and the views that music and entertainment subliminally inject ideologies into the culture. Each episode is getting better and more focused. It would be cool to hear some biblical references that support the views or shape the opinions. The episode about music and solcial media was pretty good. One could argue that the views and opinions without biblical support is what eventually leads to a watered down Christianity. One of you posed the question” should these things effect us as Christians?” It would be cool to have a follow up episode on this and explore more of that question. It is Liberty juxtaposed with Legalism. Keep up the good work. Thomas
