Episode 29: As Joni Mitchell said, you don't know what you have til it's gone

Eternal Durdles talked about the bans the day after we recorded and did a better job, so now we’ve stolen that and the parody intros from them. McBain’s knowledge of his own Twitter account can’t be shaken. Quinn’s webcam is never arriving. Somehow Jeff still doesn’t have time to clean his house.

Episode 28: Companion Taxation is Theft (and the theft is great)

Episode 28: Companion Taxation is Theft (and the theft is great)

We know there’s a lot of things going on more important than Legacy, but we wanted to record/release the cast on our regular schedule, in case anyone still wanted to listen this week and because our footprint is small enough that we’re pretty confident that it won’t distract from the many ways people are taking up the fight for racial justice right now.

If you have the means/ability to do so, please do the research to find and contribute to organizations in your community and support the struggles of marginalized people locally and beyond. #blacklivesmatter #indigenouslivesmatter

This week in Magic: Jeff can’t make the Cyberclaw go brrr, McBain still knows his Twitter handle and doesn’t have time for shoutouts, and Quinn is weirdly excited about lame duck Standard. The guys discuss the companion change, the Lotus Box and Challenge results, and what we’re looking forward to in the latest iteration of the Legacy meta.

    1:06 Intro/housekeeping
5:00 Companions (again, but for probably the last time)
28:29 The Lotus Box Legacy $1.5k results
40:02 The May 31st MTGO Challenge results
1:21:38 What we’re looking forward to playing this week

Episode 26: ain't no laws, when you're casting Cyberclaw

In descending order of importance: McBain plays some pre-Innistrad Legacy, Quinn buys power, Jeff gets engaged to the love of his life. It’s been a whole year of counting down the thresholds and to celebrate we spent **checks notes** almost two hours mostly talking about companions.

Episode 25: No friends but the one in your sideboard

Episode 25: No friends but the one in your sideboard

McBain's been spending a lot of time at home. Jeff's been spending a lot of time at home. Quinn's been spending a lot of time at home. But companions keep jumping out of the sideboard and ignoring social distancing. The cast talks about the latest round of design mistakes and harkens back to Magic days of yore, when there were only fair and reasonable cards like Demonic Consultation, Necro, and Tinker.

Another solid Legacy MTG podcast

Great legacy content with some solid Pacific Northwest and West Coast Canadian perspective on the format. Clever name and Latin phrase on the emblem.
