Ep 103 - The Church Split Joins the RFP Network

Ep 103 - The Church Split Joins the RFP Network

This was announced last week on the RFP Wednesday show so while the cat might be out of the bag on the announcement, we wanted to discuss what the RFP Network is. We discuss what this means for our channel/content/social media/etc. We identify what it means to both recover from Fundamentalism and how to recover fundamentalism for Christianity and God's truth.  We also discuss echo chambers and how we feel this move will exemplify what we talk about all the time, how to challenge yourself with different ideas, how to escape an echo chamber if you are in one, and how to live in accordance with the truth of God's word.

Ep 102 - Discerning between your feelings and God

Ep 102 - Discerning between your feelings and God

One was to really twist the word of God is to elevate your feelings to that of God's word. What do we mean by that? When you hear someone say "God told me to have an abortion". If you feel God is telling you to do something or leading you in a way, we give you the steps in this episode how to discern between a true prompting of the Holy Spirit and just your feelings.

Ep 83 - Rebuttal to IFB Pastor Reeves - Principles, Convictions, Standards, and Preferences

Ep 83 - Rebuttal to IFB Pastor Reeves - Principles, Convictions, Standards, and Preferences

Pastor Bill Reeves of North Platte Baptist Church and Great Plains Baptist College in Nebraska was our number one request to do a rebuttal video on. Pastor Reeves is an IFB pastor and does a podcast/radio show called "The Brook" on YouTube. The topic of the rebuttal is their definitions of Principles, Convictions, Standards, and Preferences. If you aren't paying attention, what they are saying sounds ok. But once you listen to them discussing it while looking back at their original definitions you will see a bait and switch occur. These concepts become the basis for much of the extra-biblical manipulation in the IFB church.

Ep 101 - Responding to the Report on Sexual Misconduct of Ravi Zacharias

RZIM released a new statement and the Report on Sexual Misconduct of Ravi Zacharias from Miller and Martin. The evidence they found is unbelievable and truly characteristic of someone living a double-life. We address comments made about our first video on this topics, how to address this as Christians, and how to move forward.

Ep 100 - Why insults shouldn't bother you

Questions we get repeatedly is "how do you handle it?" or "How do you take such attacks each and every day?" We answer those questions and through this episode, we hope to equip you on how to handle an insult thrown your way and to understand what it means for the other person's perspective on the truth.

Ep 99 - Responding to Chris Yoon's False Election Prophecies

Ep 99 - Responding to Chris Yoon's False Election Prophecies

This was listener requested. We respond to "prophecies" made about Trump and the 2020 election by YouTuber Chris Yoon. He filmed this "prophesy" a few days after the 2020 election and equates Trump being re-elected with the "will of God". We call out this fake prophet as he requests in the video as clearly his predictions were not God's but his own hopes and desires. God and His gospel are too important to be reduced to election predictions.

Love this show for apologetics

I enjoy the in depth topics about the Bible. He has common sense hermeneutics and dispels the many ridiculous bible interpretations that the church has held. I especially like the series on the KJV. For the first time I am reconsidering my position. He answers: Is that really what the Bible says? The only episode I didn't like was Ranger's.

Great Podcast!

This is my current go to podcast for apologetics and commentary on current issues in American Christianity. The hosts do an excellent job of tackling complex and divisive issues with the right amount of detail, humor, and a positive spirit. It was a surprise to learn that Rachael Maddow has such a firm grasp of theology, but a pleasant surprise to be sure.

Why This Podcast Is Important

For far too long the church has assumed that it was naturally a defense against the world. Now we are seeing the fallacy of that thinking in attendance and heresy. The church MUST engage in educating its members in world systems, topics and heresies. The church split does just that at a grass roots level. It shouldn’t be considered controversial as much as essential. If your church isn’t addressing these topics you need to ask why and get involved! If evangelizing is important to you then you need to understand that defending your faith means to also understand the arguments against it. Stand up Christian and be bold...like The Church Split.
